TCB, you didn't really expect to hold up for a full day, did you? That is a lot to expect. I hope you can gradually do more and more--comfortably.

The twelve hour event was not my idea, but since I didn't drive, I had very little say in the matter.

so what did you do?

It’s weird being the same age as old people

I wonder if they're a'whoopin' and a'hollerin' at Genghis Cohen.  Or maybe it's still too early out there.

I wonder how old Guy Haines is.  Sounds kind of young on "This Christmas".

Oh Guy Haines is much older than BK.  He was a stranger when they still had trains.

We watched a film called BUTTER the other night that was fun.

I also liked BRIDESMAIDS.

Then it was on to Genghis Cohen with helper Heather, the Staitman family and Jenna Rosen and mom Heater.  The food was glorious, the company was great, and it was a perfect birthday evening.  The Facebook wishes were slightly overwhelming today but I saw each and every one - there was one person who was conspicuous by her absence, which is interesting as she professed she would like to get her family's friendship back on track after the first of the year - this, of course, insures that that will not be happening.

Jane Noseworthy stopped by Genghis Cohen but we didn't see her - she left a gift and a beautiful card with the hostess, who brought them to me.  We love Jane.

I also stopped at the Oyster Bar (just a few blocks from the home environment) to say hello to Mauri Bernstein, my assistant for  a few years at Varese.

No packages at the mail place, but a surprise royalty check for Album Produced By - normally the book royalty checks are pathetic, but the first one for this book six months ago and now this one are amazing - not thousands of dollars, or even ONE thousand dollars, but very healthy and certainly between this check and the other one I've made more on this book than all the others put together.

Congratulations, BK!

Rita Hayworth and her co-stars are dancing to "Stayin' Alive" in this brilliantly edited compilation from her most popular movies.

I've seen this before, but it's wonderful.  Whoever put this together really knows how to count! :D

I've been listening to the "Scrooge" soundtrack that I made from the laserdisc.  It sounds pretty good (at least, good enough for me).  That's a recording that's never been released on CD.  I wonder if it's something that Kritzerland could release.  It's a great score.

Well, I must go to sleep...I haven't gotten enough lately.  And we have another "Wind in the Willows" matinee tomorrow.  I got there a little late today and I don't want to repeat that.

Good night, all!

But before I go, one (potentially) last:
