Went over to my aunt's house and decorated her tree. And put on the lights (which i don't know how to do). She tried to help me. But I've never done it before so I didn't realize understand if it is supposed to be tightly against the tree or loose.

She finished the bottom of the tree herself thankfully.

Then my mom and I helped her decorate cookies. She makes tons of cookies every Christmas. Not sure why but she wants to make 13 different kinds. The ones we did today were in the shapes of trees, bells, snowmen ... they needed to be decorated with sugars.

I do like decorating cookies. Only did not know that I would be doing this (thought i was just going for the tree since her and my uncle can't climb on a stepladder to do the top of the tree.

I think a lot of us are simply stunned by the horror of the event. The posts I'm getting on Facebook reflect a lot of anger over the tragedy, outrage over the gun laws in this country and a feeling that something should be done but all the posters, and myself included even though I'm not posting, feel is a complete sense of futility. I was glad on Friday that I had Fed Ex and a holiday shipping deadline to distract me because watching the news of the tragedy had me feeling like a mouse running around a cage with no direction and no ability to cope with my feelings.

The weather was so-so coming back. It wasn't snowing hard. BUt there was a lot of precipitation on the window. It was lightly snowing. Making it hard to see in the dark.

The first 15 minutes were good. The last 10 minutes were good. But 10minutes in between were not that great.

Just had a chat with the owner of Broadway World, and the next two Sundays (following two weeks from today) will have encores of season one's first two episodes, with the new episode of season two being teased.  Episode four of season two will premiere on January 6th, after the holidays.  They just don't have the traffic they normally do during the holidays, and this really eases the tension of my editor who would have been scrambling to finish episode five if we'd originally aired episode four next week.  His problem is the facility we use to edit is closed for almost a week and a half during the holidays.

And, as always with Facebook, the posts seem more about the posters rather than the tragedy.  That's the downside of Facebook and always has been - people, some of whom mean well, just have a forum to put their stuff out there - but it's always about them.  After seeing about a hundred "There are no words" posts followed by many, many words in those same posts, I just had to stay away.

Half the stuff put up, those photos with sayings, are filled with quotes that don't fit, or missing info, or something.  I think Diane Feinstein has an interesting approach.  In my opinion getting the 2nd amendment changed won't be easy.  She is proposing to ban assault weapons.  Not that I'm up on all the regulations that could make this bill not work.

Well, a fundraiser would help with funeral costs and there will be quite a few of those to pay for. Also that idiot Fred Phelps and his "Baptist" (I use the term loosely since I know real Baptists) group are planning on picketing the funerals. It's very possible, if this does occur, someone may kill Mr Phelps or his minins and need bail money.  I'd actually like that.
