Back from a full day of shopping, with a nice break for lunch and coffee with Becky in the middle. It was raining heavily before lunch, but just windy afterwards. The wind has really picked up and we're under a winter weather advisory starting at 7pm.

I am officially finished shopping and wrapping!

Back from various and sundried. It's been a rather stellar day. Teddy did his usual amazing job on the BK hair. Then I came back home for a moment, did some work on the computer, and was happy to find that all projects are approved, so we'll be announcing at six in the morning. I got the blurbs and covers where they needed to go, then I went to the Fed Ex place. I can't say it was a breeze but eventually they found the package. The person I spoke to who said they'd be holding it lied or someone screwed up somewhere. So I called, got a person on the phone and they were able to give the actual tracking number (which they won't give to the person to whom the package is addressed!) to the lady who was helping me, and she went and searched and found it. I gather there are more packages and she told me they are really doing a push to get everything out of there by Christmas - including deliveries on Saturday and even Sunday.

So, I now have the screener for Les Miz, which I'll watch tonight, I think. Then I put gas in the motor car - thanks to Dianne Feinstein's vociferous threats against the oil companies (and she's not backing down - this woman has now go my respect in spades), gas prices have dropped over $1.20 in two months.

Then I went to the mail place, picked up the 35mm print of Nudie Musical, returned from the San Francisco screening. I also got a wonderful Christmas present from the East Coast Singer - really quite brilliant - she got me gift cards for my regular eateries - so Daily Grill, Jerry's and Genghis Cohen. Just a very clever gift. Then I came home and found that the helper had been here and decorated the front of the house with Christmas ribbons and ornaments - it looks GREAT. I put the print in the garage and when I came back in the house, UPS had arrived and brought another screener, this one The Life of Pi. I'd also called SAG and they told me they don't send out their screeners until the first week of January, so I'm sure there are lots more to come. It will be interesting to see what I get doubles of.

Then I went and had a sandwich and onion rings, and now I'm in for the rest of the afternoon and evening. I now have to prepare the eBlast for tomorrow morning - it's tough because I can only have two images in the eBlast so one cover doesn't get pictured.

Kerry makes a good point about what to wear when the world ends. And Chas was very practical about dressing in layers. I'm surprised I haven't heard any fashion suggestions on MSN.

My plan to bake gingerbread this evening has been delayed for 2 reasons:

1) I'm pretty worn out and 2) our lights have flickered a couple of times and there are reports of power outages around SW Ohio. I'd hate to have a couple of trays half-baked and lose power.

I made the mistake of talking to some people today who told me some things that sort of psyched me out a bit for tomorrow. i'm going to do my best to just get it out of my mind and focus again. I can't think about what the other two nominees are doing, I just have to go and do a great interview. It's only 15 minutes because the judges already know all three of us. they want us to tell them something about ourselves that they don't know. I'm first at 8:30 the others are after that. So by 9:15 all the interviews will be over. So, even though the world won't end tomorrow, I'll find out if mine is going to change drastically. I'm very excited but getting nervous

I'm about to tackle a project for next year. Somehow, which I don't understand, we no longer have a holiday mailing list on our computer. As information changed throughout the year I would updated it. Near the end of November Keith would print labels for me to put on the 100 plus cards I would send out. It kept my lists organized. Fortunately I also printed out the list year year to write notes on & still have an old, somewhat outdated list to work from to type up a list for next year.

With an updated list, even without the ability to make labels I just might gets cards out.

And now, I'm off to the theater. I need to be there early because we have one role that's been recast. Heather, our original "Mirror Toad"/chorus (new role created for this production) can't be here for the last couple of performances, but one of the other actors has taken over her role. It was planned from the beginning of the run, so Priscilla (another Priscilla!) is taking over the part.

Let's just say I haven't campaigned for the position in the same way as others. Of course I haven't applied and not gotten it in the past like the others either, so I'm not going to let this get me off track

Hopefully they didn't mean to psych you out and were just trying to inform you.

Anyhow, since you were chosen as one of the three I wouldn't worry about what they did. They obviously like you. And who knows, heavy campaigning could be thought of as annoying.

Thanks Jennifer. No, the person who told me was being very positive about me. Thanks for your encouragement, I agree about the campaigning, so I didn't do it. I think I'm just nervous.
