We really had wanted to go away for Christmas & get out of here, we just couldn't figure out where to go.  We certainly aren't driving anywhere in this weather.

I admit the snow is very pretty. :)

That last post was in response to DR Laura's.  It kind of loses something when the page turns-lol

DR elmore I keep thinking of your great loss.  Losing a friend like that is emotionally similar to experiencing the death of a loved one.  Hugs.

I'm curious what movie Keith has recorded for us to watch tonight.  Last night it was STARMAN.

After seeing the promos NOTHING could induce me to watch a movie called THE LIFE OF PI.

Why?

Did my big shopping at Gelson's and I'm totally ready for Monday now.  I also delivered a box of caramels to Mystery and Imagination Books.

I looked in the mailbox and what did I see? A Christmas present? No.

Another jury summons.
Boo.

No, Boo didn't get a jury summons. Generally cats don't have to do that

The best things that happened this year....hmmm.....  Winning the arson trial, getting asylum for a couple clients, especially the most recent one.  No, the biggest is surviving my car accident.  As it was happening I wasn't sure I would

Before we left the office Friday, Edith and I talked about some possible changes and new areas of the law to add to our practice while cutting some others.  I'm feeling really good about it. I talked to my brother and he's going to loan me some books he has so I can check out a couple things to see if I'm interested.  The most obviou is personal injury.  It's actually easier than what I've been doing all this time and pays a lot better.

I made the mistake of wearing heels to the first interview and some other shows that aren't really supportive to the second.  My ankles and feet are killing me!

Ouch. I wear my hiking boots a lot. More than I should, probably, but they are comfortable.

I was also on my feet most of the day doing shopping and standing around at the parties.  I've had them up for a little while, iced my ankle, took some aleve and will soon be going to bed.

I'm really tired.  It's funny I told myself I was going to allow myself 24 hours to feel sad, angry and disappointed and then that's it.  It was closer to 26 hours, but amazingly it worked.  I'm exhausted now, and ready for a good night's sleep

Nothing extravagant, a cardigan sweater on 1/2 price, a cute bracelet at shopko, a calico cat cup, stuff like that

I have to go back out to the mall tomorrow.  I got a bracelet for my mom and they didn't put it in the bag.  I called the store and they said they had it there with my name and phone number on it.  If they had my name and number, why didn't they call?   Anyway, I'll go got it in the am

Strange. I guess they knew you'd call.

As far as I can remember, I have had an uneventful year. I am glad of that.
