TOD:

We're going to see LE MIZ.

Are you sure it's playing yet?  I haven't heard anything.

Friends and I are going to see HITCHCOCK -- which should be disgustingly bad, but entertaining.  No one's in the mood to tackle THE HOBBIT or LINCOLN today, and I don't believe there are any other "big" films around.

It sounds like the do was most excellent last night.....and yes, with all of the talent there - singing around the piano is a MUST!

I printed out my tickets for the 3:15 p.m. showing of LES MIZ, I am not sure when it opens, but it is playing today.  We are also expecting the beginning of the snow storm tonight which will bring us 5 - 12 inches of snow.....beginning after midnight and continuing all day Wednesday.

If I hadn't heard the whole thing on the phone I wouldn't have believed it was this bad.  This cat sitter has worked with animals for 20 years. She said my cats are the exception not the rule lol. So from now on  Callie will be boarded

TOD: Will be spending the afternoon with friends. Am taking the stuff to make eggnog with. Hope it turns out. I'm also bringing the steaks for grilling. Hope I don't forget those.

But I also wanted to spend a little time with my friends here. Thank you, all, for being blessings.

Merry Christmas morning greetings!  Richard and I are both stirring and it looks like Santa has been to our house:

Wow those stockings look stuffed! Is that common to put wrapped gifts in stockings? I always thought it was just for little odds and ends. My sis didn't wrap my nieces stocking stuff. But they also had a lot of stuff in there (and not little stuff).

So sorry to hear this. :(

And sorry to hear about that phone call last night. Sounds scary.

Jeanne, Baptist cakes are like donuts but cut in rectangular strips. When you fry them, you fully immerse them in the fat, hence the name. When they're done, you cut a slit in them, fill with butter and top with warm maple syrup.

BK the Christmas Eve Do sounds like it was so much fun. Especially the piano playing and singing!

This is sad news: composer and pianist Richard Rodney Bennett died yesterday. He was a good man.

Yes, he was.  A brilliant composer, as well, even if Bernard Herrmann took exception to his score for "Murder on the Orient Express" (Herrmann thought the waltz was all wrong for a "death train").

Tastes change, of course!

Seriously?  It has been filmed, edited and scored for release already?
