Well, you've read the notes, the notes were Christmas-y, and now it is time for you to post until the Christmas Cows come home.

Man, Christmas must be the great leveler for our GUESTS.  There are only five.  We haven't had only five GUESTS in about five years.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to All!!!

I slept until 6:45am. A real treat, I must say.

We had a wonderful Christmas eve. There was an excellent dinner of Roast Beast with stuffed mushrooms, fresh peas and real hand mashed potatoes (as opposed to a mix). We had Christmas pudding with hard sauce and a mince pie each for dessert (they are very small individual mince pies, we didn't each eat a mince pie). We also pulled our Christmas Crackers (don't go there) and wore our paper crowns and told bad jokes and spouted trivia. We all felt very British!

Phil and Rose are very happy with their gifts. We got Phil a set of early Poirot with David Suchet and we gave Rose a one year subscription of Premium Access to Acorn TV. They are very happy Anglophiles at the moment.

We will spend the day at Anthony's Aunt and Uncle's house with more food (ham for the main course) and a 4-year old child. We got him some Hot Wheel Trucks, a helicopter, a book of Pooh stories (the bear, not the obvious) and a copy of Oh, The Places You'll Go. We began to bring Christmas Crackers to the festivities a few years ago and the assembled crowd loves them so we bring them every year now. Anthony made a separate Cracker for Christopher (the 4-year old) without the firing cap. He filled it with mini rubber ducks, a crown and we wrote out a couple of Rubber Duck jokes (Why did the Rubber Duck cross the road? Because it was the Chicken's day off). We are expecting a good time.

George! Go to Bed. It's 5am there and Santa won't come until you're under the covers asleep.

Thrilling to read the notes this morning.  It sounds like the most wonderful gathering.

Good morning, all!

I will spend about 30 minutes opening my Christmas cards and then I will head down to Toyland where I will spend most of the day proofreading two movements of Jerome Moross' BIG COUNTRY SUITE. I will have no internet, but I will take my cell phone with me. I really screwed up my holiday plans this year.

BK, the Do sounds like a great time!

Merry Christmas morning greetings!  Richard and I are both stirring and it looks like Santa has been to our house:

This is sad news: composer and pianist Richard Rodney Bennett died yesterday. He was a good man.

TOD - We are spending Christmas Day exactly as we prefer:  at home with close family.  Rob and Mary Linda will pick up my Mom and they'll all be here about 1pm.  We'll open presents and then Lauren and her Mom and boyfriend will be here about 3.  Dinner is Honey Baked ham & turkey, cheesy potatoes, green beans, cinnamon pears, salad, and assorted cookies.

Merry Christmas morning all!

I am sitting here with the new slippers my sister in law bought for me.  Very warm and cosy feet!  When I was younger, I used to run around the house in my bare feet no matter how cold it was.  Now, I can't stand a cold floor.

The dogs are loving their Christmas gift--a bone for each to chew but I've had to chase them out of the house a couple times.  I love them but I don't like the mess they make chewing on the couch or my bed!

I'll be baking a turkey breast with stuffing and a nice salad for dinner.  You know the dogs will have a good dinner as well.

Glad to hear that BK's do went so wonderful!
