I saw "Les Miserables" again last night, and I'll probably see it again.  One thing that was interesting is that I saw it at a different theatre and this time they had the sound turned way up, and it made a huge difference i the experience.  I was a blubbering fool at the end and was still shaking when I left the theatre.

I'm up and brrrrrrr.  I was awakened twenty minutes before the alarm went off by loud thunder.  It's now actually raining rather than drizzling.

Good morning, all! It'sactually afternoon. I could not drag my tired butt out of bed this morning; I don't feel sick, just fatigued, completely wrung out. I weighed the pros and cons of staying in bed and ifnoring Saturday, then decided I would bathe and dress and move cautiously today. I have a bit of work here on Jerome Moross' BIG COUNTRY scores for his daughter, so I may send her an invoice later for the work so far.

I'm also thinking about cooking, so there may be a trip to market. I see we're getting some actual snoe, but I don't think it's sticking.

Best thing in 2012: releasing three CDs and getting fantastic reviews for two of them and mixed thoughts on the third.

I might have glossed over something, so, apologies just in case:  What is it you're doing with the BIG COUNTRY score?

I might have glossed over something, so, apologies just in case:  What is it you're doing with the BIG COUNTRY score?

Around 2001, when I worked on a recording of Moross' songs, Imade a comment to his daughter Susanna that there were several errors in the computer engraving of THE GOLDEN APLE, so she asked me to edit a new vocal score, whch Alfred publishes. Since then, I've been her editor for all new engravngs fof Moross' music. I just finished a new vocal score and 2-piano arrangement of BALLET BALLADS (1949) and the first proof of his wonderful Civil War musical, GENTLEMEN BE SEATED.  I'vealso worked on the film scores for HUCKLEBERRY FINN (great score!) and some film whose title I've forgotten about reefs and sharks (not WEST SIDE STORY).

I'm currently working on the 5-movement suite from THE BIG COUNTRY. I've proofed nad corrected the first two movements, Main Title and Waltz, and I'm waiting for more from the copyist, who's waiting on the edits for the first two movements from me.

TOD:

First, getting my Mom through another two bouts of health episodes. (She is doing terrific now, BTW.)

Second, updating my programming skills at work by immersing myself into a new platform and becoming fairly proficient with it.

Third, finially clearing out my basement of a lot of crap that had been stowed down there over the years.

For all the fuss that had been made all week about the forecasted snow today, all we got was a dusting.  Though it was coming down pretty hard at one point, it soon faded to nothing.

I've been spending this afternoon doing some minor cleaning up and putting away of some clutter that accumulated during the past month. I found a bag of Christmas candy that I forgot to put out on Christmas Day which I think I'll pack up and bring to a New Year's Eve party.    I might head out and look for a new pair of walking shoes and then maybe a movie.
