Thank you, Dakota.  I have been praying for you getting a job (and I haven't been praying part-time).  I have started driving again, after a year away from it; so I think that is a positive thing.

I am still hoping for a full-time position also. PT for the moment is better than nothing.

When they signaled the stingrays, there had to be, at least, 30 of them show up.  They gave us treats and we were allowed to let them eat off of our hands.  I literally got a "hickey" on the palm of my hand from the suction.

Where was this and how many people?  We were a small group of about 10 and the one sting ray was very attentive to all of us.

It was at Grand Cayman.  North Sound has a coral reef that surrounds it, so sharks don't often come in to the Sound.  Part of the Sound is called Stingray City (which gives you an idea of how many there are in the area).  We had around 25 people onboard our boat, and after we had called the stingrays over to us; another two or three tour boats arrived.

All of the females came around us andkind of snuggled like cats.  They would turn up their soft underside which felt like velvet.  They were all very sweet (and polite to us newcomers)

That was our experience with the one sting ray.

Thank you. This is very scary. We have two other babies who are not fully immunized. They are up to date for their ages but are not fully immune yet. And they were all together last week in the nursery.

I nagged, yes nagged, Craig until he got his booster tetanus shot which also included whopping cough.  I hated the idea of him working with children that had not been vaccination for whooping cough.

Don't blame you. I had to get a TB test, tetanus shot and a hepatitis one.

DR Elmore, how are those Bell Telephone Hour specials?  I just got that DVD and haven't watched it yet.

Quite wonderful, actually, like a time capsule of another time. There are wonderful moments, some nice orchestration, usually very fine singing, and Florence's overripe diction. I did wonder if the kids she sings "Awat In A Manger" to might be the current crop of kids in SOUND OF MUSIC with her on Broadway.  Some of the costuming is very strange. I did love seeing the Buffalo Bills, Lisa della Casa, and Giorgio Tozzi.  It was a lot of fun.

Florence Henderson is doing SOUND OF MUSIC on Broadway?

She was one of Mary Martin's replacements.

I had the tetanus/whooping cough/diphtheria shot a couple years ago when I was doing all that traveling to California during their big outbreak. I didn't want to bring it back home with me unknowingly.

I like to keep up on the tetanus vaccination because you might not be able to get one after exposure to it.  I didn't even know it included extra protection until I called about to find out the cost of it when Craig was due for his booster.

Looks like tomorrow I'll finally get to meet the 5 Somali kids I helped bring over from Kenya (living with an Uncle) to be reunited with their dad.  It's the second or third time we've talked about getting together, but we've planned for tomorrow afternoon at an ice cream shop in their home town.

Their home town??  You have to go all the way to Somalia, just to get some ice cream?

Amazon is out of The Hegdehog - I ordered it, but who knows when they'll get it in - if it's not shipped in a week, I'll get an overseas copy of the DVD from an Ebay seller.

Bruce, there are other copies at Amazon. I could be wrong, but I think all are in French with English subtitles. The cover art is different and the title is in French, but would there be any other difference?

When I had my car accident they gave me a tetnus booster with the pertussis (sp?) vaccine.   They told me there is a lot of whooping cough (pertussis) going around now in adults and children...but it's a lot worse in children. It's also very contagious, so if would be a good idea to encourage athe others to get a vaccine

Before Bryan could attend medical school he had to do titer testing for almost everything, vaccination records weren't acceptable.  I wish they were that strict for teachers but I suppose if they can't force the students to get vaccinated they can't force the staff.

I agree.  I was surprised most reports didn't say where the clot is.  I expect more detail later on.
