Greetings from Toyland! I have been quite busy since I got here: meeting with Curtis on the current ROBERTA situation; we're in great shape!; search of two of the seven McGlinn external hard drives for music from SHOW BOAT. When I leave here, I'm heading back uptown to market and then to home.

SHOW BOAT music --- meaning, scores or recordings or what?

Waiting for the president to speak on the fiscal cliff. Then maybe, just maybe, I'll get to go home early.

Keith & I had Shingles Virus Vaccination.  My brother forgot I told him to get one.  He truly regrets his discussion so I didn't remind him of my advice.

DR Vixmom I believe you can get a shingles vaccination before yo are 60 but then need one again later on.  Recommendations change so it wouldn't hurt to ask about it.

I'm waiting for the carpet cleaner who will arrive any minute now.  Keith is at the gym burning off calories.  I'm jealous.

Doug, certainly the way they continue to mis-sell films is a big problem.  When you're told something is a comedy then one expects - you know, a comedy.  Perhaps I'll watch it again at some point, but I just didn't like it at all, comedy or not.  The leading lady is fine as are all the actors.

Oh, and I'm up.  I got up just before ten, turned on the heat, and got right back into bed and waited till it warmed up a bit.

I've made my run to the corner market for tomato paste and tomato sauce. Someone on the first floor of my building is cooking pork with a lot of spices and it smells so good it is driving me mad .

I just gave our wonderful FedX delivery guy a big hug goodbye as he is retiring.  Today was his last day.  Keith will be sorry he didn't get to say goodbye.

It isn't difficult to image how much we will miss this very good guy as he is DR MBarnum's dear brother.

The bottom and middle layers of the cherpumple are in the oven.

We stayed out birding longer than I thought we were going to, so I am behind now.

One of my favorite supporting players of the 40s died earlier this month, at age 97! He had quite a life!

RIP Greg McClure

(I posted this photo of him yesterday on Facebook, but I think it is worth a second look!)

Poor DR MBarnum.  When you are their age will you be able to retire?
