I have never eaten a fish stick - I do not like the way they  look   or smell
They are merely a vehicle for tartar sauce or cocktail sauce.

Vixmom wins the lottery, quits her job, and has some money left after helping all the Hurricane Sandy victims.

OOOH!  I hope Jeanne's resolution comes true!!!

WHAT??!! You don't love your job?

Of course! It would be  terrible wrench to leave but SOMEONE has to spend all that lottery money
I'm glad that you're willing to make the necessary sacrifices.

That's what makes me so nice   ;)

No way.  Where did you attend grade school, DR vixmom?

right here in the town where I live -  but MY Mommy packed my lunch every day -  in fact I never had a school lunch until high school and then only rarely when I traded my  home made lunch for someone else's school lunch

My childhood was about the same. What did your Mom fix you? Anything good?

I remember plenty of olive-nut sandwiches, except there were no nuts, just olives and cream cheese and homemade bread.

My mother occasionally made me lunch for school, especially grammar school - the usual peanut butter, tuna fish, cheese, bologna, turkey, plus chips and fruit things.  I enjoyed that for a while.  I never had a thermos or a lunch box.  I came with a brown paper bag with my name on it.  But after grammar school I began doing the school cafeteria or what they called the hash lines - I kind of liked the cafeteria food in its own way.  It was fun to move around the plate.

I had a Bonanza lunch box. It had a yellow background, as I recall. No thermos either.

Send some our way - and tell dear reader Sandra to EAT that thing - she could use a few pounds on her.  I'll donate some of mine.

An olive-cream cheese spread is a wonderful thing on, say, an everything bagel.
