That bizarre version is a Powell & Pressburger film. I have the Criterion DVD but haven't watched it.I enjoyed the Met production from a couple of years back (it was on TV), but can't remember who did it.

It's now selling at ridiculous prices, too.
Has anybody seen the BBC production of "Lost Empires" from years ago with Laurence Olivier and a very young Colin Firth? Costco has it for sale, but I don't know if it's any good. Not my favorite Priestley novel, but it was enjoyable, which is why I'm thinking of picking it up.
Good morning. Church is about to start.
Oh I love that book - although the first story about the couple and the wife's visions is by far my favorite
"Oh goody. Burning lump"
then again, I am partial to men with facial hair
Even without seeing a preview, I can guarantee that I will not see THE GREAT GATSBY.
I could never quite believe The Way We Were he was too pretty to be with Barbra
Yesterday DR vixmom wrote:QuoteJenniferHave you read Stephanie Meyer'sThe Host? Yes I have. I am excited for the movie. It's been a long time since I read the book though. I remember it was very long (like 600 pages). I remember the first 100 pages were very slow. But then the book was fantastic. Love it.There are a few other book to movie releases coming up in the next year. One is Beautiful Creatures. I still have to read that book (it comes out in Feb). I just reserved the book from the library.Another is City of Bones. I think the movie is called Mortal Instruments. I have that book. It is supposed to be a great series. It's a series i've wanted to read for a long time.Of course Catching Fire. Super excited about that. And Divergent. I think this one might only be coming out in 2014. I would highly recommend the book to the Vixter if she hasn't read it yet. So far there are 2 books out (Insurgent is book 2). Book 3 comes out later this year. Veronica Roth is the author.

When I got to Toyland, the peculiar office across from ours, which has a lot of Mexican employees, had a large red and white sign, dated 01/03/2013, from the New York County sheriff's office forbidding anyone to enter. I cannot wait to learn from the super and doorman what happened. I've always thought the pffice was strange: I had long suspected them of stealing the rolls of paper towels from the men's room, and every morning one of the men was pouring buckets of water black from what I sus[ected was toner down one of the toilets. Most peculiar.

From DR Vixmom: QuoteOh I love that book - although the first story about the couple and the wife's visions is by far my favoriteIt was a beautiful story.I didn't read science fiction when I was young. Unfortunately I saw the tv mini-series before I read the book and never felt the desire to read it. Such a shame. I have no idea how beautifully written the Martian Chronicles is.
