and it was delicious - medium rare,  grilled onions, swiss cheese,  lovely  grilled rye bread-  just a little sprinkle of salt and mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

one of the guys in the office very kindly offered to run the the local diner so we called in an order and off he went

I love THE GREAT RACE, and I actually try not to watch it too often.  It's one of those films I allow to take me back to my first time seeing it, with the family, in a first run theater, packed -- absolutely, totally packed -- with an audience of all ages eating up every minute of it.

And on that note....

Well, before the note - I thought I'd weigh in on the patty melt thing.  I'm not quite the fan as I don't like onions en mass like that.  Also, I'm not a huge fan of rye, although I'm getting better.  I prefer my patty melts on sourdough with no onions.  Go ahead, judge away.  :)

Oh, tonight was the Parish staff Holiday party.  We always have it after the holidays because we are always BUSY during the holidays.  It was a lovely get together.
