Rob and Mary Linda came to see us after church.  We had pizza for lunch, then Richard and Rob went to Dayton to retrieve Richard's car from airport parking.

Back from the lunch meeting - got a tentative show order and had a bacon cheeseburger at the Daily Grill.

And now back to writing.  I finessed this morning, making lots of little fixes, and then did one new page so I must do another five or six right now.

Hello, everyone.

I just finished the laundry. There's more to do, but I'll do it another day.

Congrats to The Vixter! I hope this works out well for her. Will you reveal the nature of the job, Vixmom?

Bruce, I understand your displeasure with your weight--at present I'm the heaviest I've ever been--but I really wouldn't have guessed.

My little soup diet is coming along nicely. I didn't expect to lose quickly--my goal was sensibly. I'm eating fewer carbs and fewer calories overall. The pounds are starting to come off. And I agree with DR JohnG about the numbers on the scale not being the whole story. I care about how my clothes fit--not the numbers.

I have finished my Basil Rathbone play and have just ordered the final proof.

Assuming there are no problems, the script should be available in both paperback and Kindle editions in about 2 weeks.

Congrats!

DR Doug R, isn't it rather unusual for London to have any snow at all?

If anyone contemplates weight loss by exercise, I do recommend the Zumba workout.

I am home, contemplating dinner. I've sent a few emails, and I'm at this moment avoiding my taxes.

After trying to get an hour or two or rest I walked to the Pantages Theater to see Peter Pan.  The Pantages is enormous--I had a seat on the side --row S (which is halfway down the aisle--the rows have double letters after A-Z).  I enjoyed the show very much, even with the fidgeting and talking of a few little ones nearby.

Did anyone in the cast stand out to you?

I've done six pages so far and will try to do at least two or three more now, then break and prep the eBlast and then the final couple of pages of this chapter.

Oh good.

I usually watch until the name of the musical is disclosed. Then I pause and look up the movie on wikipedia so I will get the jokes.

Hello, again.

JRand, the Zumba is a sort of aerobic dance workout, right?

Last night TCB asked if the big Randy's Donuts was what I had called the Big Donut. (I couldn't
get it to copy the image.) Tom, it looked just like that, except it didn't say "Randy's Donuts." I think it said "The Big Donut." That's what everyone called it. Maybe when it was taken down Randy had it repainted and reused it.  ;)

Chas, long ago there was a Big Donut at the corner of Sepulveda and Washington Blvd in Culver City. It's no longer there. I don't recall it ever called Randy's Donuts. Bruce? Jane? (Where is Jane?)

I'm thinking of this one, that you could see from the 405:   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Randy's_Donuts

Or from La Cienega, maybe I'm remember wrong.  But near LAX.

Yes, just like Randy's Donuts' sign, and it was right off the 405, not that far from LAX, but I don't recall it being called Randy's.
