Ron, I'm so sorry you're been so ill. I'm glad you posted--I was wondering where you were.  There have been so many strains prevalent this year, but I hadn't heard of any pneumonia. I'm glad you got the care you needed and are on the mend.

Vibes for a continued recovery!

The snow is going fast now, although the local roads are still hazardous. I took this, in the park next to where I live, before it all melts.

Lovely photo, DR Doug. You live next to a park? Oh, how I envy you! I would love the open space!

I enjoyed TO ROME, WITH LOVE. Not a great film, but I felt it was better than many of his later films. I enjoyed the fun he made of the press and celebrity, among other things.

Jane, you really do need to sleep. There are quite a few sleep aids on the market. Have you tried any of them? My favorites are Natural Factors' Tranquil Sleep and Rescue Sleep. I take Tranquil Sleep an hour or so before I want to fall asleep, then keep Rescue Sleep next to my bed for those nights when nothing else seems to be working. You don't take water with Rescue Sleep; you just let it melt in your mouth. I really would hate to be without them.

Sleeping when you're in pain in another kettle of fish. (Seems appropriate for this site.) I think you have to address the pain, but the above remedies might help, too.

Hope Jane and Larry can both get some sleep.

Listening to one of our February projects - only one of the greatest film scores ever written, with one of the most iconic movie themes ever written - for the first time complete.

I was in the shower this morning washing my hair when suddenly the water stopped. The plumber was working in the apartment next door and, of course, had turned off the water without notifying anyone. As it turned out, the water wasn't off all that long, but I had no way to know how long it would be, so my shower was terminated. I know this guy. He's a real prima donna and has no consideration for others. The manager loves him because he's cheap. I'd so like to find better housing!

I have retured from a wonderful Middle Eastern dinner: lamb, eggplant, and a wonderful carrot salad with sour cherries and Godiva chocolates for dessert.  The other guest was author James Gavin who's written a biography of Lena Horne and Intimate Nights: The Golden Age of New York Cabaret.

And so to bed. Good night!

Since it seems to be video day......  You have probably seen this one before but the dance routines are worth, IMHO, watching again.

Well it doesn't want to play on my laptop. so I guess I will have to watch it tomorrow.

I've discussed the book with two close friends and I've got a clearer picture of things now - really helps to talk it out.  I'm going to make some small character tweaks that probably won't even involve a total of ten or fifteen lines and that will be it.  I will decide on how long to sit on it - it wouldn't be out before May anyway, and I might just wait until September, but I feel I've discussed the little issue this book might have in terms of the one character and I feel that with the tweaks I'm going to be fine with it.  I think the book tells an interesting story and there's a good lesson in there and that's very important to me.

September??  We can't wait until September.  Maybe you could sell a few advance copies on the blackmarket

That happened to me once.

DR Jeanne, I'm not doing anything special just cutting calories.  I think I cut a few too many today, I was starving when I got home from work. I felt much better after i ate
