TOD:

I'm not really sure what my first concert was. But when I was a teenager my uncle (who loves concert) would alternate taking me and my sister with him.  I remember seeing Madonna and ZZ Top off the top of my head (had to go see whatever he wanted to see). I also remember going with my sister to see Ricky Martin in concert many years ago.

So, Barney Frank is playing a conservative senator in Encores! "Fiorello!" Sounds like a fun bit of casting.

Driving back from the job, I had a nasty moment when I spotted a bumper immediately ahead of me in the road which had obviously fallen off somebody's vehicle. It was dark so I didn't see it until I was right upon it and at the speed i was going I couldn't avoid driving right over it.

I'm up - I stayed up till two reading my friend's book, which is very short.  I'm actually in it even more than the introduction - it's very sweet.

TOD:   I cannot recall which I saw first, but I distinctly recall attending concerts by both Van Cliburn and Roger Williams when I was young.  I also recall seeing Ferrante and Teicher and Pete Fountain.

Again....sequence unknown.

Best question I've encountered today: Is running a tab considered exercise?

Topic of the Day:

I think that my first live concerts would have been when we lived in Colorado.  We used to go to orchestra concerts in a very large park in Colorado Springs.  I don't remember much about them, except that there was a large, square and very shallow pool in the park...not a swimming pool, but one just for decoration, I guess.

Other than those, the first concert that I chose to go to would've been (surprise, surprise!) The Manhattan Transfer!  A high school friend and I went up to Seattle and saw them at the Paramount Theatre (this was during the 1983-84 school year).  We were up in the balcony and had great seats.  I saw them there the next year with a co-worker and they were still good...still are!!

Back from our post mortem lunch.  I gave my notes, and she'll now get these songs under her belt so that they are second nature, and we'll choose about four more songs.  Looking at summer to do the final version of this act.

HA!  I have completed my 2012 taxes.....even though processing will not begin until January 30.

Surprisingly, I will received a Federal refund of almost $500.....and I only owe the State of Indiana about $85....both are record amounts for me......
