As we were leaving we saw arriving for the second service one of our members with a severely disabled adult son in a wheelchair. She was struggling to get through the parking lot - the Vixter ran to help pull the wheelchair (pushing was not an option) and I ran into the church to get a shovel as I could see the path was not wide enough to get the chair through.
As I was coming out of the church with the shovel in my hand a 14 year old boy was running up the path ,He asked for the shovel and ran back to start digging the path.
So I went in and grabbed another shovel only to have one of the young fathers take it and run to join the digging
So I went back and got the last shovel and managed to make one shovel full when I was also relieved of that by another young man.
Then one of the cars stopped at the crosswalk and the driver jumped out and stopped traffic in both directions while he assisted with getting the wheelchair across the road
It was nice seeing so many people jumping in to help without anyone needing to be asked
