I have been cruising the web to try and find civil war music that I could download into my IPOD to play at the Chili contest next week

Akoshan Farewell..it's not old, but it was used in Ken Burns' Civil War so everyone will connect it to the Civil War

LOL, there is a snow storm heading our way Wednesday night, all day Thursday and into Friday.   Looks like I may not have been able to go on the trip anyway.  Or maybe I would have been stuck 1/2 way there.   So glad I don't have to worry about it

That happened when my dad died six years ago; if I hadn't changed my flight, I would never have got to Ohio in time to see him alive or to bury him. I changed the flight from Wednesday to Sunday, and there were blizzards closing the airports on Tuesday.

When I first started working in New York for a cruise line entertainment group around 1983, we had several kids who were stuck for days in the Denver airport.

Vibes of comfort for elmore on this anniversary.  It is always tougher when the anniversary is near a holiday.  My Mom was killed on the Sunday before Martin Luther King's birthday.  The actual holiday changes date year to year, but the holiday always brings back memories.

That's the song I was thinking of originally but I discovered it is "new" song  that was  written for the Ken Burns series

Yup, 1982, but does it matter?  It sounds Civil Warish

Back from rehearsal, dead tired.  Well, not "dead" tired, but, you know.  Tomorrow is our one blessed day off between now and opening next weekend, and while I'll be working on the score, I so look forward to the day at home.

Just finished typing up a recipe for ice cream made with Girl Scouts' Thin Mints. Now, it's all I want. And I don't have any Thin Mints in the house.

That's very exciting news about A TIME FOR SINGING.  I know nothing at all about it, and can't wait to hear it.  I still need to pick up the new Blu-ray of HOW GREEN WAS MY VALLEY, so it's doubly exciting to have them both on the horizon.

I watched the first half of How Green Was My Valley on Blu and Ray.  I think I'll finish tomorrow because I still want to have one more night of going to bed very early.

I've seen the film a few times, but not in many years, like, since I lived in L.A.  I remember one time was in the late '70s during a Filmex at Century City, probably in one of those all-night classics marathons.

It's been years since I've seen the movie of "How Green Was My Valley." I also remember a Masterpiece Theater version that I saw when I was a kid. That actually was my introduction to the story, and I remember loving it.

Has anyone here actually gone to the imdb page for Outside the Box and clicked on ten stars at the top - because all it takes is five people doing that for that to show up, and I'm having a problem processing how this here board could not have at least five people who've done that.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2579770/reference

You can also click on each season (under "season") and do ten stars for each specific episode.  You can also write a review of the show on the main page and for each episode.  The main page is the important one, though.

I tried clicking on it the first day, but got no response to the click.  Same thing now.

You just click on the star like usual, right?  Even though there's no results showing there yet?

I posted one episode there and I then actually looked at the site and loathed it and posted no further ones.

Listening to the raw tapes of our next cast album release - sounds great raw and will sound brilliant when we master it.  I don't think there's much secret that it's A Time for Singing.

Apparently it was a secret to me.  And I assume we aren't talking of THE RIFLEMAN episode of the same way.

Is this the original Broadway cast?
