I received a message this morning that I got third place in the Oscar contest at the local movie theater!   I didn't think I did that well, lol.  So I get a $20 gift certificate.  That means I've been in the top 3 for the past 3 years.  That's cool

Listening to some Elaine Paige in preparation seeing her in concert on Monday and then getting a chance to meet her afterwards. I think this is a big coup for the cabaret series that I subscribe to.

PS

DR ArnoldMBrockman also attends the same series and day as I do.

And I Am Looking Forward To Hearing And Seeing Elaine Paige And Michael Shayne.

Comcast messed up Wndows mail and no longer supports it as a POP3 mail client.  And I hate the Comcast.net email that will not stay open more than ten minutes....

So I had to find another service....I picked Thunderbird which seems to be working okay, but it won't import my address book from Windows Mail....

Oh well.

Since I liked IRONMAN and CAPTAIN AMERICA - I went ahead and purchased some used BluRay copies of THOR and THE AVENGERS.....

Hope you enjoy. I found "The Avengers" better than "Thor."

I have the DVD of Bonnie Franklin's I Hate to Exercise but Love to Tap, which is fun and will get you to move your feet. I didn't realize until I saw that DVD that she started out as a youngster tapping on TV.

I have had a parade of non-stop visitors this morning and there's still one to come, then I'll go have some matzo ball soup to tide me over till dinner.  Tape guy, helper, local dealer...

So, last night I was registering for the AAUW/Ohio state convention, which is being held in Newark, OH, early next month.  The "group rate" at the hotel is $90/night, including breakfast.  By just going to the hotel website and asking for an AARP rate I got a room, not including breakfast, for $68/night.  That's gotta be SOME breakfast they're providing to people who pay the group rate...

Wow!  What a difference in price.  You must be pleased with the great rate you got.

Was it the first time you saw the movie? I didn't care for it the first time, either, but I've grown to love it over the years.
