I have been "hand feeding" a couple more birds for the last few weeks. A crimson rosella and a white backed magpie are becoming quite friendly. We hope to have soem photographs of them soon. Magpies are well known for attacking during nesting season - they swoop down on passers by when they feel under threat. It has never been a problem on our property - they know their  friends.

Left to my own devices (a Pet Shop Boys reference - maybe only for td & Jed).

I'm posting. And seeing stars. Dropped my glasses, bent down to pick them up and almost knocked myself out on the glass table. Like a cartoon. It's been that kind of day.

My Dear Daughter will be in town for a few days. I'm taking her to a movie premiere one night and to Hairspray the next. For a good time, call mom.

Yes. Tomorrow at 2. I'll probably go early and have lunch outdoors in front of the Dorothy Chandler. Or not. Depends how I feel. I'll go early at any rate.

I'm back and to prove it I'm here.  I'm so tired I can't even see straight, and must now write the notes.  Might I just ask where in tarnation IS everyone?  Why, if I hadn't come home just now we might have achieved a new low, but with this post we are safe.

Some of can be relied upon BK. We would have made it. The not seeing straight notes should be interesting.
Have you had a chance to check those CDs yet?(Bacharach and Webb)

I think that Tomovoz and Panni should get medals for saving the day! We are the Mighty Mice (Mouse-s?) of HHW!

I still remember seeing a Mighty Mouse cartoon when I was quite young. He was saving his girlfriend from an evil hypnotist. She was forced to sing "Carry Me Back To My Old Virginie" I think. Strange how the memory works. I was probably only 8 years old and on a short holiday with family friends in a country town.

The point? Was there a point? Yes! I agree with DR Panni.

Yes, Tom, I answered the Bacharach/Webb query in yesterday's posts.  I have the Bacharach set, but don't have the Webb.  The Bacharach is fun, decent sounding and has lots of interesting rarities.

Does the turtle have a mating cry? Is it seasonal with its "desires". I know so little.
