I need some dinner. I will head to bed early since I need to be at Toyland around 8:30 tomorrow morning  to box up a carton for the Cole Porter Trust.

Because I just came in at 1:30 in the morning from snowblowing the lower section of the driveway..

I'm impressed at the hour you did this.

:o Your neighbors didn't mind??  Or are they just too far away to hear the noise?

Far enough away that it isn't disruptive if someone needs to do something like that late at night.  I wouldn't go out with the trimmer or the chainsaw at that hour, and I was quick about this.

Good to know. :)

On our shopping trip today Richard bought himself the newly-released HOBBIT.  We are watching it now and I'm so glad I'm not trapped in a dark theatre!  At least here at home I can knit and putter...

DR ELMORE - I stayed in the lobby until they took her into the next room.  AND they didn't bring her out until I arrived to pick her up, so as far as she knows, I was there for the entire three hours.

;D

I'm sure we will see this.  I am a fan of the trilogy books, however, I was lukewarm on THE HOBBIT.

I answered the phone & the recording enthusiastically said "DO NOT HANG UP".  I truly thought the guy on the phone was about to ask me to star in a very strange musical.

Precious and true are the moments you two can share, or something like that.

I took a walk earlier and bought a couple pairs of pants at Norstrum's Rack.  Seeing how they fit, I'm not at all sure that I've lost even one pound in the two weeks I've been jogging and eating under a certain number of calories, and that is very frustrating indeed.  I'll still be good and still try and at some point hopefully meaningful weight loss will occur.

Then dear reader KevinH came by and we chatted until the East Coast Singer arrived and then we all toddled over to the Capital Grill, which is just two minutes from the hotel.  There we had a lovelier than lovely dinner.  The good news was that they listed the calories for everything - so I had their gigantic shellfish platter - shrimp and lobster, for only 320 calories.  I had some berries for dessert.  I ate so much fish and feel bloated but I know the calories were low so I think I did fine for the day.  After we took a walk for a few blocks.  I'm in the middle of an amazing shopping district with several high-end malls, Tiffany's, Louis Vuiton, Gucci, and stuff like that.  It's like being on Rodeo Drive.

I just did a search and found out that our library selector did NOT buy this movie!  What's going on??  I'll have to put in a request for purchase.

Have not weighed myself.  I can usually tell by how snug certain pants are.

I'm afraid to weigh myself.  I've made stabs at increasing the exercise and watching the food, but it has to get a lot more serious.

Show is at a theater called MetroStage.  If you can come, let me know and she'll arrange a ticket for you.
