And on that note (D-natural), I'm off.  I'm going to a tech meeting for "Reservoir Dogs," and I need to be there NOW!

Be back later!

We were back up to a 9.5 rating on the imdb but our dear friend came back and did some more dirty work and we're now back to a 3.9.  Karma will take this woman places she can never even imagine and I do hope it happens soon.

That is great. Reminds me of Joel Schumacher complaining that Batman was too dark for him. (I guess he knows a lot of bats that fly in the day.) So, he lightened it by making "Batman and Robin," the worst of the worst. Even George Clooney has been known to apologize to people for having made that one.

Here's an image of a field next to a restaurant in the Hill County I love to go to. The scenery and lighting can be incredible.

Beautiful!!

Greetings from Toyland!

Just as I was ready to leave, one of the electric outlets in my apartment - and there are far too few! - went out, shutting down my tv, DVD, reading lamp, alarm clock, and several other lights and appliances. I sent an electrician request to my landlord and also checked with my super about an electrician.  God alone knows when this repair will occur, so I am a bit pissed at the moment.

Maybe it's time to call Ghost Busters?

I can blame the printer in the middle of the night on the ghost, but I believe the outlet was the result of a lousy electrician over 30 years ago. It's always been a problem, but i have avoided dealing with it since it worked for the most part until today.

Is your printer a wireless printer?  Dos it actually print anything or just "chatter"?

Barbra's added a second London show (on June 3rd).  Not sure where I'm going except for Amsterdam (on June 6).  My friend who lives in the Netherlands got a ticket for me.

It sounds like a great trip.  I have friends with three Bernese Mountain Dogs and a baby that live in the Netherlands.  Once again I want to tag-a-long. :)

I read this as:  "I am friends with three Bernese Mountain Dogs and a baby that live in the Netherlands"  I was picturing some kind of updated Goldilocks and the 3 Bears

DR Laura, the Brent Barrett as Captain Hook I'm seeing is in Schenectady, NY.  (Or Synecdoche.)

Orchestra, 4th row center, $60.  It would have been $70 but I'm going up for a weekday matinee because I don't feel like making it an overnight trip.  And I'm going by myself, so the single seat made it easier to get.

Fourth row center for $60.00??  I'm moving to Schedectady.

I think the dvd is quite good.

I think the DVD is okay, but the live show is incredible!  And I saw it without the WSMA.

I was wondering about the wireless part too.

Alarm Man was here for five hours.  The system is now working and for the next two weeks at least I have to arm it before bed, and always when I leave.  That's so they can do their checks.  This one is much easier to do - just a couple of moves and you're done - the other one was really complicated.  He'll be back with the new signs for outside tomorrow, and then he'll be back in a week or so to put three more motion sensors in and fix a couple of dead relays in a couple of windows.

I have a great deal of respect for Mr. Cushing and Mr. Lee, but I am not a fan of their Hammer films.

TOD:

I'm not a fan of Peter Cushing or Christopher Lee or of the Hammer horror films in general (which, when seeing them as a teenager, I thought were poorly made when compared to Roger Corman's Edgar Allan Poe films) so my sole choice would be THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES. The only Hammer films I really liked were the black and white, psycho-thrillers written by Jimmy Sangster and the Quatermass films.

I also like Hammer's THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES.  In fact, I like this version better than the Basil Rathbone film.
