I suspect I had more calories in that one meal than DR Jane had all week

LOL, not with the Haagen-Dazs ice cream I eat, even if it is only a little bit every day it adds up.

That is a busy weekend you had and it sounds wonderful.

I have taken many a donation, mine & a collection from a group, to shelters but I have never been part of a group that put together such a nice gift bag.

Now I'm in the mood for Kugel.  While similar I preferred my mother's recipe to Keith's mother's, however, that was lost when my sister lost my mother's cook book.  Somewhere I have my mother in-law's recipes along with a my own that was a combination of my memory of my mother's & my mother in-law's recipe.

I like lots of raisins in my noodle Kugel.

Greetings from Toyland!

Just as I was ready to leave, one of the electric outlets in my apartment - and there are far too few! - went out, shutting down my tv, DVD, reading lamp, alarm clock, and several other lights and appliances. I sent an electrician request to my landlord and also checked with my super about an electrician.  God alone knows when this repair will occur, so I am a bit pissed at the moment.

Monday morning greetings!  It is still snowing, but surfaces that have been plowed and salted are clear.  That includes our driveway - our guy must have been here before we woke up this morning - so Richard and I are getting ourselves ready to go to Cathy's funeral.

I'm glad you were able to get out today.

Months ago (Craig was still here)when the button on the kitchen sink spray nozzle broke I called Kohler about getting a replacement button.  They said I needed to replace the entire spray section so I opted not to pay the price since I could manually work the sprayer.

Today I finally broke down & called Kohler to get the new part.  To my surprise the woman on the phone told me it was still under warranty.  They will be sending a new part out, along with a valve for the handle that drips, for free.  :)

One of the reasons I delayed on the new sprayer was because of that drip.  I was deciding if I should just get a new faucet.  I'm glad I called Kohler back.

I'm thrilled.  I just don't know why the first person didn't mention it.  It is a good thing I didn't wait much longer.  I haven't a clue how long the warranty is for.

Of course Cole Porter was more sophisticated - he was from Indiana.

Here's an image of a field next to a restaurant in the Hill County I love to go to. The scenery and lighting can be incredible.

I got home over an hour go, saw my super, the wonderful Steve Trifun, and within 10 minutes his mighty son-in-law was up here with his electrical supplies. For around 30 minutes my apartment was in the dark while the circuit breakers were turned off.  Wouldn't you know this would happen on a day that's rainy so there's no light coming in the window?

I have a repaired electrical outlet, my tv is making a lot of noise, my phone machine and VCR are updated, and my alarm has the correct time. All is good in apartment 3C/

Close to it. You're a little off to the site, but you face what this faces or you have your back to it.
