DR Doug, have you ever heard of--or worn-- Hotter shoes? Hotter is a UK company that makes COMFORTABLE shoes for men and women (can you imagine?), which are also stylish. (!) I was so bowled over by this novel idea that I took advantage of their promotion and bought some. I wore them for the first time today. They felt great.

For those of us who are Stateside, www.hotterusa.com. For DR Doug, www.hotter.com. About the price of Ecco.

Some of those are very cute.  I would want to try them on first.

Thanks for the shoulder vibes. It was really bad last night (the worst it's ever been).  I heated, iced, heated. I tried a big pillow at the side of the bed. I think it helped a bit. I tried to hold my shoulder while I get out of bed.

It still hurts. But better than yesterday.  Does anyone have anything else you can do? Are ice and heat even the right things to do?

DR Jennifer, many people advocate the alternating heat and ice, as you've been doing. Personally, I like heat. If you're looking for an herbal approach, I'd recommend Meriva Tumeric, which I take. Fasting can be very effective. Also, lemon water (juice of half a lemon in a glass of water 3x/day) helps to alkalinize. Hope you feel better.

(BTW, HERRINGBONE CD should be out in the next few months. B.D. Wong emailed Skip, says the mastering was delayed due to unexpected work and everyone's volunteering their time, but should be soon.)

I've always wanted to see HERRINGBONE. Glad to hear about the CD.

Thanks. Heat does feel better. But surprisingly (to me) it didn't feel too bad after I iced it last night.

Of course. Unfortunately, they're available only at Hotter stores in the UK or online. I chose online. But they're very good about exchanges and returns.

To inject a bit of humor into the passing of Margaret Thatcher, some folks are upset, not because Lady Thatcher died but because

They Think Cher Died!!!

There is a hashtag on Twitter #nowthatchersdead and if you read quickly you "might" think that Cher died (now that Chers dead) along with Annette, Mrs. Thatcher and Roger Ebert. Rest assured, Cher is still with us.

That's really funny. Of course, everyone knows that things happen in three's!  ;)

RIP Margaret Thatcher.   I saw her in person once.  She visited USS Kitty Hawk and addressed the crew.  My boss was her escort.  I got to within about three feet of her, she looked at me and said "Hello".  I said "Hello" back.  That was it.  The end.

So you were close personal friends, right?

I am too difficult to fit to mess around with online without knowing for sure.  I will just have to visit the UK to try them. ;)

DR Cillaliz, from your post last night it sounded like your former facebook friend/relative has been posting pics of her and her new boyfriend on facebook??  If that is true then that is the tackiest thing I've heard.

Not exactly.  Her new boyfriend posted photos of her and her son.  One was a video filmed at her house while her husband was at work.  It was her playing the piano, nothing obscene, but he was there and so was her son.  That's what ticks me off.  Who takes their 5 year old son with them to have an affair.   Neither she or her bf have their posts hidden from the public, so we were looking at them.  I found out today that her husband saw the same video and I'm sure it's no coincidence that the boyfriend took the video and the photos with Gabe in them off his pag

French Streisand fans are in mourning--the Paris show has been cancelled!  I was planning on going to that show but hadn't gotten a ticket yet.

Poor Annette. I don't know how to feel. Seeing the condition that she has been in the last few years it seems as if she had already died. Such a thing should not have happen to such a nice lady.

I thought the same thing, DRMBarnum.

I was also wondering how they're going to handle the Margaret Thatcher number in Billy Elliot.  I imagine it will be discussed on the theater message boards and playbill.com.

I hope someone saved those photos just in case they are needed down the road if she wants full custody.

The hurt and anger your family must be feeling over this makes the whole situation even worse.  She will always be Gabe's mother.  I'm mostly sorry for your nephew. :(

He's taking it better than the rest of the family, but we just found out about it and he's been living in the relationship.    And yes everything is being saved.

It was a long time before Craig could tell us that he was getting divorced.  We suspected but waited until he was ready to talk about it.  At least there wasn't a child and no one cheated on the other.

Good evening.

Back from a full afternoon / evening of rehearsal at the high school.

Heard the news about Annette as I was pulling into the parking lot.

Well, I must be off.  I'm feeding my friend's cats and she's coming home very late tonight, so I finally get to let them out.  If I had let them out before, they'd never come back in the house.  But since my friend is coming home tonight, the cats will come back inside for them.

When I get home, I still have some TV watching to do, to get shows off my DVR so it doesn't fill up.  After watching last night's couple of shows, I'm down to about 79% filled (it's my hi-def DVR).  There's nothing that's being broadcast tonight that I want to watch, so that'll help. :)

Be back later!

I was told that Jenna Rosen's mom had posted a photo of us taken by her mom at Little Toni's - very cute photo.  Apparently, someone (and we know who) flagged it as "inappropriate."  What the HELL is wrong with people?  I posted the photo on my timeline and mentioned that it had been flagged on the mom's page.  Now, first off, the mom POSTED it - how can it be inappropriate when the parent of the child posts it?  She's trying to get some answers from Facebook, but I think we all know how that's going to go.  After I posted it, the mom began getting phone calls asking her what in tarnation was going on, so we didn't want that - I took it down and reposted without saying what had happened.  I tell you, if one more thing like this happens, the person responsible is going to have some fairly dirty laundry aired.  At some point, trying to remain on the high road becomes more trouble than its worth, and the only way to shut down someone who is obviously having some really big issues is to let them know that this will not come out well for them in the end.
