DR DRUXY that Ft. Wayne theatre is as big as a Broadway house.  We went to see THE DROWSY CHAPERONE there last month.

I think I mentioned when I got back, that I don't think I'll be able to drive up to see you.  IT IS A LOOOOONG drive.....and I don't think I could do it by myself.

If you are flying into Indy and driving there, you will see what I mean.....add about 35 minutes to it and you have me.  I wish it was CLOSER.

I got Seusical to load, but it loaded each Annie song as a separate album.

Yes, I hate the way iTunes does that with some albums. Everything now is arranged by the singer, not albums, even though there is an album category.

Hello, everyone.

Doing laundry. Just thought I'd mention that.

And I did four loads of laundry tonight.

Spoke with my nephew --he's very excited about the competition next week in Baltimore.  He has about 15 people coming to see him, almost all from the Buffalo area.

There was an article in the paper here today about the new baseball/Jackie Robinson movie.  They expressed disappointment that his time in Montreal was not even really mentioned. That is a shame since he was a big deal here.  The writer thought that maybe it was because people in Montreal loved him so much. And it wouldn't have fit with the theme of the movie/ all the problems he had in the US.  Still sad. I was really looking forward to seeing that part of the movie.

Maybe someone in Canada needs to make a movie about the "missing years" of his story. ;)

My father saw Jackie Robinson play here. He also saw Sammy Davis and Harry Belafonte and Lena Horne who were received here in Montreal with open arms.

I was just watching the interview with Jackie's wife, Rachel Robinson.  What an elegent and classy keeper of the flame.

Well, it's time for me to head to the theater.  Tonight, the women's show goes first, then the men's.  I think that there's supposed to be a cast party after the second show, but I don't know if it's tonight or tomorrow.  I'll find out soon.

Be back later!

Just learned I got a couple of tickets to "The Producers" at one of the community theaters tomorrow night. That should be fun.

Well, I managed to get Annie on there. I had to add each song, and then put them in the correct order. I also made a playlist of the "best" songs, because she'll probably want to listen to those, mostly.

Those girls are extremely lucky to have you in their lives.

Has anyone hear heard about "Superfocus" eyeglasses? I saw an ad for it last night on CNN and was intrigued. There are no suppliers by my home and I've been reading both good and bad reviews about them, but I would like to hear a first hand report on them.

Here is the website

https://superfocus.com

I'm afraid not, Mike, I never heard of them.

Rant number 2

Glad to hear about the changes to the radio program. I'll finally be able to listen again when things are complete. I don't listen now because I don't have that other piece of time sucking, computer fouling software called Real or Real Player (or Real Piece of S**t as I like to call it). It has screwed up every single computer I've ever had. It's a bloated piece of garbage and I completely understand why Vixdad refused to let Vixmom have it on her computer. If it was only one computer I might let it go but, as I said, it screwed things up on every single computer I have ever owned since the late 90s. I'm glad you will finally be getting rid of that program and moving into the 21st Century.

Interesting.  I've never had a problem with Real Player, or even iTunes...at least, not that I can remember.

That is because those devices have already sucked your brain out of your head.

Friday morning greetings!  We are waiting for the window washers.  We've taken down all the curtains and I'm washing the ones that can be.  The downstairs ones that aren't washable are in the dryer on "air only" to get the dust out.  The upstairs ones are going to the dry cleaners.  Of course, since the window crew will also install our screens, the weather has turned cold and blustery  ::)

You mean you're supposed to wash curtains??

Damn.  NOW you tell me.

If I wash out the dirt, what is going to hold the curtains together?

Chas - when I visited my inlaws last summer hey had just taken delivery of a washer and dryer set like yours -   I did the laundry every day while I was there  - it was fun with those machines

Do yours play a little tune when the cycle is finished?

These photos might be kind of large.  Sorry about that.
Hell, the old ones don't even look that bad in this picture.  Don't be deceived.  They were decrepit.

The old:

The new:

The new ones are very very nice; but the old ones would have worked better if you had plugged them in.

DR Chas your new machines look very nice.

Thank you, DR Jane.  Now I just have to learn how to use them, and especially how to avoid a mold build-up in the washer door, which I understand is common in front-loaders.

If you get the mold build-up, try to wash only green clothes until it is gone.

I think I have always had Real Player on my computers. Why kinds of problems does it create?
