TCB, Amazon gives you Aesop's Fables as a freebie when you download the Kindle App (maybe so that your bookshelf won't be empty?) I also got a dictionary when I downloaded it. I only took the damn app because there are some books that are not available on Sony (my e-reader is a Sony) and I'm not buying a Kindle just to get more books. I now have the 2 books that I wanted and all is well.

I am SO VERY VERY GLAD I don't have an iPod or iTunes. I tried them once and HATE, HATE, HATE, HATE, HATE, HATE them. I would rather eat ground glass than use that time sucking, computer fouling program called iTunes.

I have a Samsung Galaxy media player and it's very simple to add music to my device. I don't have to use ANY program, just my brain, my computer and my fingers and it very easily does what  to do what I want it to, not what the program decides is best for me or my device.

I don't worship at the altar of Apple. I don't worship at the altar of anyone, actually, but especially not Apple.

Laura - Did you sort out your iPod? If the CD(s) is on iTunes, plug your iPod into the pc and after a short wait the iPod screen should automatically say "connected" and then "synchronizing" (copying the CD). If it doesn't do it automatically, look at the iTunes screen and on the left is a menu screen. Look at "Devices" under which is listed your iPod. Click on that which will take you to a screen on which at bottom right is a Synch box. Click on that and the iPod will commence to synchronize (copy).

There are User Manuals on the Apple website, under Support.

Rant number 2

Glad to hear about the changes to the radio program. I'll finally be able to listen again when things are complete. I don't listen now because I don't have that other piece of time sucking, computer fouling software called Real or Real Player (or Real Piece of S**t as I like to call it). It has screwed up every single computer I've ever had. It's a bloated piece of garbage and I completely understand why Vixdad refused to let Vixmom have it on her computer. If it was only one computer I might let it go but, as I said, it screwed things up on every single computer I have ever owned since the late 90s. I'm glad you will finally be getting rid of that program and moving into the 21st Century.

Good morning, all! I have to be at Toyland early for a 9:00 pickup of music for a 10:00 recording session. Then I have to wait for a Fed Ex pickup of the defective printer and a delivery of some office products. During all of this, I will work on the new ROBERTA vocal score.

I'm feeling caught up on sleep, although the moron above me and his girlfriend arrived around 12:30am, woke me up, and it sounded as though he chased her around the apartment for30 minutes or so; there was a lot of fast steppin' going on. I did sleep rather soundly between 9:00 and then, and by 1:00 I was again asleep. I had lots of bizarre dreams, the only one of which I remember isworkong ona production of OLIVER!

Good morning, all.

Decent sleep, even if I woke up with a bit of the all-too-frequent backache.  I really need to do something about a new mattress.

Today, the new washer and dryer!  Can't wait.

Well, that's not completely true.  They'll be here between 1:00 and 4:00 pm.  I've got things to do before then.  I can wait.

But it sure will be great to have them.

DR TCB, I considered typing out the cast list of PETER PAN for you -- but for all the effort involved, there probably wouldn't be anybody you ever heard of.

Greetings from Toyland!

Due to an "incident" at 42nd Street, all of the West Side trains were screwed this morning. I arrived around 8:00am to my station and ewvery train that trickled by was packed and I couldn't get onto a car. I waited 30 minutes, finally got into a car and by 42nd Street (6 stops) the car was 75% empty. So, I'm here, the conductor is here for the pickup, and all is currently good.

Until the next round of fresh hell.

"Hello, Dolly!" Blu ray is "very near" my player.  It will be for the foreseeable future.

The recently acquired "How Green Was My Valley" and "A Time For Singing" are very near my Blu ray player, as well, alongside "Laura".

DR CILLA LIZ Pluto is in retrograde which would cause some of the difficulties you are experiencing...  But as Mercury enters Aries today, things will lighten up.

There's an actress here in Austin who wants to stage a production of my play, LOMBARD, with me directing.

We went to look at a theater the other day, and the play would work very well there.

I think she would be quite good in the role.

Now, all she has to do is raise the budget.
