Has anyone seen the play TWO TRAINS RUNNING?

Friends visiting in June are interested in seeing it at the Shakespeare Festival & I haven't heard anything about it.

TERROR AT THE BOSTON MARATHON! That should be the name of a new disaster film or a summer bestseller.  Instead it is the title of the latest "Breaking News" crisis program on every television network in America.

You and/or your friends may have already looked it up, but HERE is the Oregon Shakespeare Festival's webpage for the production, and THIS is the Wikipedia page.  I've never heard of the play, but I've certainly heard of August Wilson (the author).

Thanks George.  I will read the Wikipedia page on it.  I found this "interesting" review in the Orgogonian I sent my friend who asked about it.  The review makes me hesitate to see it, especially as it is a long play. http://www.oregonlive.com/performance/index.ssf/2013/03/oregon_shakespeare_festival_re_9.html

Terrible news about Boston.  I have a friend who's daughter in law was a coordinator for the race and was across the street from the blasts.  She's fine, thank God.  I didn't know that until I saw his update on FB

Or the first time in a while I decided to take half a muscle relaxant. Usually these things tend to make me feel tired and non functional. But my shoulder problem has crept up towards my neck. It feels like it might be inflamed a bit.

Actually, no.  Although the company that rents wheelchairs and walkers for the cruise line called me this afternoon.  I had rented a rollator, but they called to see if I would accept a scooter for the same price.  Ah, Yeah!

Well, I'm off.  I am going home and will watch some TV!  But it's really raining right now and I left my jacket in my car when I went to lunch.  It was sunny and not too cloudy at that time. :P

It's one of August Wilson's 10-play cycle about blacks in 20th century America. With the right actors it can be a moving experience. I love both productions though the approach of each was greatly different. It's hard to describe the action, other than it's about a group of people who hang out at the same place in the Hill District of Pittsburgh.

Not so secret historical fact:  August Wilson's real name, by which he was called for at least the first twenty years of his life, was Freddie.

Somehow it would make sense for JERSEY BOYS to be at the Freddie Wilson  Theater rather than the August Wilson Theatre, wouldnt it?  :)

Re August Wilson having changed his name from Freddie to August.  I had thought of following his lead.   I had been thinking of changing my name to June, but then I started gaining weight, and I was afraid people would start saying June is busting out...

Or they'd say "Because it's June - June, June, June"

Although it might hav been fun to have Leslie Uggams do the musical story of my life
