A mysterious number indeed.....what song was that?  I know it was cut, but I don't even know what it was supposed to be....although I think the gals are wearing those costumes once in the dressing room toward the end of  the movie.

This particular group hasn't had a board meeting in 13 years and nobody has seen a financial statement in at least that long....

It's the mystery number, for sure.  A short clip of the number can also be seen in the trailer.  Unfortunately, I think the outtake must have been lost in the 1970s George Eastman House fire where a number of Fox's technicolor nitrates and outtakes were stored.  This would most certainly have been a natural to have been added to previous video releases of the film...or at least in one of the two videos of Fox musical outtakes that were issued.

Also, I don't know if it was a song from the original show or was among new ones written for the film

At last I've got the Blu-ray Alfred Hitchcock Masterpiece Collection - it was available at half the original price. VERTIGO, my favorite Hitchcock film looks wonderful. I used to think that the picture quality of the HD Sky TV broadcast was very good but in comparison I see that it was awful! On the other hand I thought MARNIE looked better on TV - at least it didn't have what appear to be swarms of mosquitoes flying over the picture.

Well, go know!  I Googled "number cut from 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes'" and found, among other things, THIS article explaining what the number was supposed to be.

I am "guessing" that it no longer exists in any viewable/audio form.

Unless BK's publisher is in Canada, I don't think this is the holiday in question!  :D

Found one of my old boyfriends on Facebook. For someone who helped himself to my credit cards (without my knowledge or ok) to buy pay-per-view football games and tires for his car, way back when we were together (and never paid me back after I found out), he has certainley turned into a conservative moralist.

On a lighter note, my new REFORM SCHOOL GIRL cast member Facebook friend, I have found out, is the author of a few trashy Dell paperback novels of the 1960s...my favorite kind of light reading!

I ordered them all, of course.

I just got out of a phone discussion about the possibility of my being a guest lecturer on musical theatre next year for a college term. I'm very interested, whether or not the foundation I'm working with folds. I could still edit music and teach a term.
