I love road trips, but this was a long and grueling day of it with road work and lane closures tying things up just about everywhere.  Glad to be at my destination.

I should really begin reading a book I checked out yesterday except I am almost sure the one I want to read first will become available today.  It seems as if I have been next up for it for 3 weeks now.  I wish I had kept track of the date I moved to the front of the queue.  Normally I wouldn't care but they are both long books.

Oh well you read quickly.

I did something so stupid (for me). There is a sequel that I have been wanting to read since the first book came out. The second book came out in April. I have been checking my library every few days waiting to see when it would come in.

And then today 4 books from may 7th came in for me. So I went back and checked my list and it turns out I never suggested/requested the book I've been wanting. :(

Oh well, now I have 6 library books. Good thing that nobody has reserved the four I got today. So I can renew some of them.

Bruce when they are parked in front of your house, is that blocking the driveway so you can't pull up to unload the car?  I seem to remember you have an actual driveway though you don't park in a garage.

I was wondering about this as well. Why not just pull up into your driveway?  I'm sure it must be super annoying to have all the parking spots in front of your house gone. but why do you need one of them? I would never park in the street if I had a driveway.

Congratulations, Elmore, on the teaching possibility. Hope it works out for you.

And more congrats to Matthew on the successful helicopter flights.

Geez, bk, i ordered a copy of the book, then went on vacation and the order wasn't routed to Louisville. What gives? :-)

Seriously, the cover looks great in the foto.

I do park in the garage, but I wanted the boxes in the dining room, which is right next to the front door.

So, all the "notes" have been migrated successfully to something called Wordpress.  That's a different thing than Moveable Type, which is what we've always used and what I'm used to - I'm not sure why they did this, unless our software was so old that they couldn't migrate using Moveable Type itself.  But I hate the look of Wordpress right now, but as long as Doug's design is similar to what we have, then it will look as its always looked, albeit with a fresh design.  In other words, I refuse to have it look like anyone else's "blog."  Then they'll have to show me or talk me through what I type (or cut and paste) the notes into and that has to behave exactly as the Moveable Type form did - although I gather Wordpress has all the latest and greatest in terms of video and audio linking, etc.  We'll see what Doug comes up with, but at least they got everything archived and protected.

Tomorrow the same thing happens with our discussion board.

Hmmmm DR Matthew 20 years would be a long time for DR MBarnum to be bitter, on the otherhand is this how you feel regarding your recent need to move?

No, I guess not.  I actually just had dinner at home this eve with the ex (the other roommate cooked) and we watched some TV.  I still think he's a liar and an a-hole, but we get along.  I think I'm passed being bitter.  That is, until I find myself packing the same things I packed twice in the past two years.

I just saw this article:  Jurors find Jodi Arias eligible for death penalty.

And about time!

They will now start the last phase where the victim impact statements are read and the defense can try to prove mitigation - why she should live.

They should give a reward for most successive purchases of lottery tickets without getting one number right. I'd win that one
