I left the apartment as a drizzle began. By the time I reached  the furniture store, there was a downpour. I paid for the bookcase (10% Memorial Day discount) and tld the clerk I'd come for it tomorrow. I waited for a break in the storm, and about fifteen minutes later it was over. I carried the bookcase the three blocks home, and it's set up. waiting for me to fill the shelves. Excellent, and the whole thing cost me after discount $79.00.

Enjoy your new bookcase :)  Will there be a photo?

I doubt it. I'm not that enthusiastic about showing off my slum.

Not a slum, full of character.

Back at the old place.  AT&T is hooked up and ready.  Two loads of dishes in the dishwasher.  Took over all my hanging clothes today.  Now to attack my shoes in the closet. Oy and vey

DR Jennifer maybe the store can exchange your helmet for the correct size at the same price.  Next time ask them to remove the cardboard while you try it on.  It is terribly annoying all the attached crap we have to deal with when trying on clothes.  I've insisted on items being removed for me that were simply too bulky to work around.

I looked for someone in the department for quite a while. There was nobody.  This was the only size for that price. I scanned 4 helmets and they were all different prices (and not marked).

I wanted to get them to remove the cardboard. You could still try it on. I just couldn't feel that it was tight with the cardboard there. :(

It's no biggie. I will return it (it was Walmart). I just thought it fit.

I actually need to go to a different Walmart tomorrow. So I will bring it back there. ANd maybe there will be other helmets at that one. Also I was looking for a certain kind of sandal. So maybe this Walmart will have them.

What kind of stuff do you have when you try on clothes? We only have the price tags.

IT has been raining with thunderstorms all day. I had been carrying my umbrella all around. Then I had to run into Dollarama ($ store). And it looked nice. So I thought I'll just leave my umbrella in the car.

Well wouldn't you know then 10 minutes later it was pouring. :)

We have those hard plastic things that set of "sirens" when you leave the store with them still attached.

I went to the native plant nursery in Tucson today and came home with only two plants. Then I scored a root and seed of some native passion vine from the local college herbarium.

The dressing rooms??  Every place that I've ever gotten clothes doesn't remove the alarm tag(s) until after I've PAID for the item(s)!

Well, I must be going.  I want to go home for a little bit before tonight's final dress rehearsal of "Cinder Edna."  We're having an invited preview audience.  It'll be a VERY different show...as the first-audience-previews always are.

Be back later!

I know DR George.  It is terribly annoying to try on most close with this card thing hitting you.

When Bryan was in 9th grade we had an exchange student from England stay with us in Connecticut.  We went on a family trip to Philadelphia, stopping at the Six Flags Park in New Jersey on the way.  The day was somewhat chilly and the boys got very wet on one of the rides I didn't have the heart to say No Way too.  We had to take them to one of the park shops & buy them clothes, including park themed boxers.  I, of course, didn't check out the exchange students boxers which set off the alarms as he walked out of the shop.  He was totally oblivious as I, with lightening speed, intercepted the security guard and explained the situation. ;D

I never think of "A Room With A View" as a comedy! I suppose it is. Sorta.

You probably don't think 1984 is a comedy, either.

Dining in a Vietnamese noodle shop and listening to a version of Stranger in Paradise as if Ennio Morriccone had arranged it. Strange.
