Thank you, BK, for today's notes. However, you are truly preaching to the choir. I grew up working in a 300 seat theater in Tacoma where you projected or you were out. Community theatre audiences are normally shaded toward older audiences, and they did not put up with actors they weren't able to hear or understand. Fortunately, my junior high drama teacher taught me to project at an early age. I was six years old when she first cast me as "The Littlest Angel." Even though she was a good friend of my mother, and they taught together at the junior high, I received no special treatment when it came to projection.
