If you don't want to see your avatar at the top of the page you can click the minus sign right after the time at the top of the page an it will disappear.  Click the plus and it comes back

They just interviewed on the news this priest from Bremerton (west of Seattle) who has very outrageous theories regarding what causes homosexuality.  He has written this letter to his parish in regards to the Boy Scouts allowing gay youth to become members.  The worst part isn't so much these opinions (I have heard them before), but rather the fact that is not an old priest, but a young and very handsome man.  He is going to open his own version of Boy Scouts, minus those gay youth.  A very closed mind.

Today I got a call from the lawn service that used to spray my yard for bugs, fertilizer, weeds etc.  I cancelled a couple years ago when cutting expenses.  The owner called today with the saddest voice and asked if they had done something wrong to upset me.  LOL, I said no.  Truthfully I had been considering calling him to get it started again as my yard needs help.  He gave me a really good deal, so I took him up on it.

I am sure if you go to your member preferences you'll find out how to put the quotes back - if not, put that in the tech support board and we can go hunt for that option.

Yes, we must be very careful with the thumbs down thing or I'll remove it.  Remember karma? :)

I was planning to go to a meeting and a CLE in Omaha tomorrow.  Then I started thinking about it.  I don't really care about meeting with the immigration lawyers.  It's good to see each other, but I'm not really in the mood. The CLE is showing federal criminal lawyers what an immigration hearing looks like and showing immigration lawyers what a federal hearing looks like.  Been there done that.   So, I'm going to catch up on some things at the office, maybe clean out my desk or just whatever I feel like doing

I agree and almost didn't do it, but figured I could at least show people it was there.

Ok, time for bed.  Ricky will be waking me up at 7:20.  I actually quit setting an alarm.  He wakes me every morning so there is no need

I haven't tried the actual reply box.  And I have to tell you, using the quick reply box on the old board always took me to the last post made.  That's the way it's always been.  so, if that's not the way it was for you, then you need to go look in your member preferences and check the box which will do what you want.

So, let's see how these damn smileys work:  :-*

Laura, I think I may have found the quote thing - but I don't want to enable it until I do so with the tech guy on the phone.  If you tell me how you used to do it that would be helpful.

George, come back soon.  Having to go even half a day without our wonderful family was torture!

I'm back!  I'm not going anywhere. :D

Today is my friend Paul's 65th birthday.  We had cake this afternoon. He's going to have a party later in the summer so it was fairly low key.

Happy 65th to Paul!

Ditto, too...too! ;)

Isn't it fun having your avatar on the main page of the board?

It's very helpful...now I know who I am at all times. :)

I wrote the notes early.  I have to figure out if I can post them early and then change the time and day manually, which I used to do on Moveable Type easily.  I'm sure I can, but tonight I'll just post at midnight.

Of course, the easiest way to do what Shayne is proposing, is to play the radio show, open a NEW WINDOW and go back to the site and read the notes in the second window - problem solved.

You can also right-click on the link and choose, "Open Link in New Tab" or "Open Link in New Window."
