DR Laura - my position is only half-time, but I do a weekly press release to the local newspapers, a twice-weekly e-blast to the membership, the weekly bulletins for two services, a 30 page monthly newsletter, and I maintain/manage/update the church website. I also serve as administrative assistant to the Director of Music.

I am stunned at the thought of a 30-page newsletter.

It sounds like it could be a fun job.

What great news about the show last night.  Congratulations to MR BK and Co.....the pictures in the notes were very nice....it is most convenient to have them right there when they are being talked about.

I watched an episode of OUT WITH DAD with DR CAITYMED, and it was most entertaining!

I'm up, I'm up.  Workers here at eight, so only six hours of sleep, and worse, they're working on the kitchen window today so I'm not sure how much work on the computer I'll get done - hopefully they won't be inside for much longer.

DR Laura, it just about kills me every month! But I do enjoy my job, and the people I work with. I enjoy coming in to work every day - and how many people can say that? I am very fortunate - and very grateful.

The Act One fixes are finished and sent to copyist and conductor. I need to look at a copy of the original published sheet music for "You're Devastating"; the vocal score for ROBERTA was published in 1952, and there is one bar in which the melody is completely different from what Russell Bennett wrote in 1932. Oy!

The other work done last week was not disruptive at all.  But this morning?  Completely.  I guess I'll go jog in a while (feeling guilty over the pie from last night), but boy is it dreary and gray out - this after ninety degree days for the last week.

Oy and vey - these next two weeks are going to be a doozy.  But just 11 more sleeps until I'm on a plane to Walt Disney World for a week.

Guess I'll do a jog

If you did a jig while you did a jog...  now that would be something to see.

I'm due to go to Prague next week but the city is in danger of flooding from the river following weeks of heavy rain so I'm not sure if I will make it now  :(

I had a nice trip to the NYPL Music Collection, and I've looked at the original 1933 publication of the songs from ROBERTA.Russell Bennett was wrong.

And that's rare.

Maybe darling elmore's schedule will someday be such that he can read a book that's been sitting in his house like so much fish.

Back from a three-mile jog.  In a little while, food.  Glad I did this topic again, because there were two shows that weren't mentioned before and happily I have them both on CD to listen to.
