And one more link, in honor of Adrianna Hofstetter, from The Onion:

Are we certain the writer got Allen Bielecki's name spelled correctly?  It is "The Onion", after all.  It may be Bielechie and the writer was simply guessing.

I just read a couple of reviews on Amazon of Williams' autobiography, and I was quite surprised at how unhappy she was when married to the "controlling" Fernando Lamas.

Then, I recalled how when I phoned her house for an interview about Basil Rathbone, who was in BATHING BEAUTY, Lamas answered...and wouldn't let Esther come to the phone.  (I could hear her in the background.)

Lamas was very charming; answered my questions, so I just assumed that his wife was "indisposed".

Interesting how with new facts one's perception of a seemingly simple phone conversation can change.

Thanks, DR Ron Pulliam.  On seeing DR Elmore's post, I didn't trust myself on which was right, so I checked what I had here which are the printed vocal score and Willson's paperback novelization of the film.  Then I was surprised to find the "h" on IMDb.  They certainly get things wrong, but I don't think I'd seen a character name spelled wrong before this.

Oh, gosh...  we're finally off page 2! It was a long slog.

Just a reminder, in case you've forgotten:  Val Kilmer IS Moses.   :)

Time to finish up this ROBERTA megillah.  I'll meet Peter around 11am at Toyland, and we'll begin printing the orchestra parts. I'll tape the parts while he works at the computer. We can hopefully finish up the printing tomorrow. I'll be taping for several days.

It seems like at a place called TOYLAND, there should be a battery of elves scurrying around and getting these chores done for you, DR Elmore.

I only have one Esther Williams swim flick, Duchess of Idaho, which has both Van and Red. Met both of them ages ago. Both nice men. At least to fans.

I think the only Esther Williams & Van Heflin flick I know (and had, but it seems to be gone now) is THRILL OF A ROMANCE.

I'm up, I'm up.  I was up at five-thirty for some reason, fell back asleep at six, so I think I got a little over eight hours in there.

Just received the two Twilight Time BLUs.  I'd never seen either one of these, and took just the slightest gamble on how well I'd like them or care about them.  But here they are, and I probably will like them just fine.

I can't begin to imagine what DR Cillaliz is going through.  I'd have to go stay in the Hampton Inn until it's over...

It does feel like I'm being held hostage a little.   The trapper called this morning and we are now doing a full on assault.  He finally realized that we could put a trap on the ledge where the raccoon sits and taunts me and looks out over the neighborhood.  We wired it to a downspout so it shouldn't come loose or fall.   He now has 9 traps in my yard and has baited them with fresh fish, a sweet berry mixture, I think there's still cat food in one of them, and other stuff he usually uses.  We also put a dish of water in the one on the ledge in case it is thirsty.  I'm really hoping this works.  It's definitely taken up residence.  Leaves at dusk and comes back around 5:00 AM

SOOO  as if the animal kingdom assault wasn't enough.  Last night I woke up at 3:45, thinking I was hearing noises and saw Ricky very intent on a particular window.  Thinking that I would see some beast outside I looked out the window and saw a man go in my neighbors window!  WHAT!!! So I grabbed the phone and called 911.  It took forever for the cops to figure out the house next to my address when there is only one house on my street next to my address with the main floor lights on at 3:45 AM.  Anyway, my neighbors are out of town so I was really concerned.  I did tell the 911 operator that they have a son and it could be nothing, but why would anyone be going in a window at 3:45 AM.      I finally had to go outside and point to the house.  There were three police cars and a K9 unit all parked outside my house, lol.  Anyway, it must have been their son because they went to the door, talked to them and then left.   So there I was at 4:15 AM wide awake.....

What a scare, DR Cillaliz! Of course, you did the right thing.

I think your nerves must be a bit frayed at this point, what with all the goings on.

I went to my favorite donut shop while I was waiting for the trapper.   I am not on a diet today.

LOL, basket case is closer to the truth.   Actually today made me feel much better.  The trapper's mother in law has been in the hospital in a town about an hour away so he has been a little out of the loop.  She's doing better so he seems to be taking this as a challenge.   And, he finally came in the house and let me show him exactly where it's getting in and where I think it's been.  He also brought me a koozie for the carpenter/plumber he has worked with in the past and who he's willing to work with.(it had the carpenter's phone number on it)  I called him and he'll be over Tuesday to either close it up or plan strategy.    All this is good, but come dusk I'll be waiting to hear the sounds.....and every noise in the night will wake me up.....I'm thinking maybe the koozie was a suggestion....I may just go buy a 6 pack on the way home from work

Of course tomorrow is my trip to Ice Cream Days.  I'll be gone from at least 11;00 to 4:30 or 5:00. I was going to go to the barbeque contest after we play, but I'm thinking I probably better get home and check the trap line.  Those last 10 words are something I never thought I would ever utter

Unless of course, we catch the varmint tonight. The trapper will come over as late as 11:00 PM and as early as 6:00 AM to take away whatever we catch so keeping my fingers crossed.
