Hidy didy, Didy oh!

Here it is...the "didy" photo.  My first birthday!!!

DR Ron someone took great, super cute, baby photos of you. :)

Thanks, DR Jane.  It's kind of fun sharing my childhood.  Yesterday, I posted a photo of Rita Hammond and me sitting on my porch on my fourth birthday.

Here is another shot of Rita and me with my cocker spaniel puppy Blackie.  I didn't have Blackie very long.  I got Toby, a cocker spaniel puppy, for Christmas.  I guess someone decided two were too many, so one was selected to be given to another family.  Blackie left and Toby stayed.  Don't know what the choice was based upon.

Well if she's up in the attic, tell her to chase that raccoon into the trap.

Interesting how with new facts one's perception of a seemingly simple phone conversation can change.

Very, and sad too.

Very nice photos DR RLP.

DR CILLA LIZ - Venus and Pluto are both active this week and coming off the New Moon last Saturday, I am not surprised everything is in flux.....should calm down, but probably not until Tuesday or Wednesday.

I can't begin to imagine what DR Cillaliz is going through.  I'd have to go stay in the Hampton Inn until it's over...

It does feel like I'm being held hostage a little.   The trapper called this morning and we are now doing a full on assault.  He finally realized that we could put a trap on the ledge where the raccoon sits and taunts me and looks out over the neighborhood.  We wired it to a downspout so it shouldn't come loose or fall.   He now has 9 traps in my yard and has baited them with fresh fish, a sweet berry mixture, I think there's still cat food in one of them, and other stuff he usually uses.  We also put a dish of water in the one on the ledge in case it is thirsty.  I'm really hoping this works.  It's definitely taken up residence.  Leaves at dusk and comes back around 5:00 AM

I'm glad the trapper is getting more aggressive about the situation.

I meant to post this photo yesterday.  It's the one I allude to up above - my fourth birthday and me sitting on steps with Rita Hammond.   I still remember the photo being taken and the endless "takes".  I think my eyes reflect my feelings about my putting my arm around her.  She doesn't look thrilled, either.

I liked Esther's book when she wrote about her time before MGM and after MGM rather than the part when she was there....  She had a very interesting life before she went into the movies.

She was also surprised that Universal-International paid her more for THE UNGUARDED MOMENT than she had earned during her ENTIRE MGM contract....of course, it was her time at MGM that made her bankable after she left.

She and her husband (not Fernando) had a Vegas act that was very successful.

And I am home from Toyland. We printed all of the orchestra parts for Act One, and I taped everything up to No 9. Tomorrow morning we will continue and get as far as we can until the paper runs out. Yes, Curtis did ot check the paper supply.

It was great to see my friend Peter today. I got all caught up on the gossip concerning VENICE at the Public Theatre, laughed over the behavior of his 9 year-old daughter Grace, gossiped about our friends and enemies. It was fun.

I have to run out and buy lottery tickets. A good win would keep us working for the next ten years or so. Then, some dinner.

I missed my nap today.

What a scare, DR Cillaliz! Of course, you did the right thing.

I think your nerves must be a bit frayed at this point, what with all the goings on.

I'm sure the neighbor will appreciate you made the call.  The son probably forgot his key.  At least the police knocked on the front door, unlike the time our neighbors called the police to check our house & the policeman scared me half to death walking around our yard and giggling the outside bedroom door.

No, she doesn't, does she!

TCB will probably surmise she may need to go potty.  And it may be true.

Of course tomorrow is my trip to Ice Cream Days.  I'll be gone from at least 11;00 to 4:30 or 5:00. I was going to go to the barbeque contest after we play, but I'm thinking I probably better get home and check the trap line.  Those last 10 words are something I never thought I would ever utter

Good idea.  I doubt you would be able to relax thinking about home.

Would like later to get a hot fudge Sundae.

For me, it's all about the hot fudge, so when I really want a hot fudge sundae, I go to the local Dairy Queen, order a Peanut Buster Parfait without the peanuts and WITH extra hot fudge...NO extra charge (because I exchange one topping for another)!  Hot Fudge Heaven! :D

The other night we watched a movie we got at the Redbox we disliked so much I said even the Reacher movie would have been better.  Guess what Keith got from the Redbox today.  At least it is in Blue-ray ;)

We didn't watch much of it so it might have improved.  It jumped all over the place.  It seemed to be more about checking out the makeup on the actors than the story.

I did a search here and found that DR td enjoyed the book.
DR CharlesPogue had the following to say about the movie. "CLOUD ATLAS...just as pretentious and ponderous as it looked in its TV trailer."  Yup, pretentious and ponderous is an excellent description.
