Thanks DR Ginny.  I mourn for the loss of how I saw her as a child.  My brother makes comments that indicate he saw the truth of how she treated me long before I admitted it.

I've prepped the new release announcement - it, of course, will happen when I'm in Washington, so I've sent myself copies of everything needed to do so.  I have to really sit and think about other things I may or may not need while I'm away, that aren't on the laptop.  I have to make sure my log-in info for Tiny Pic is there, and I already added my log-in stuff for the blog, so that's all set and ready to go.

When I left for McDonald's my neighbor's son came running out to the road waving and smiling.  I said "Was that you, last night?"  He said yes and burst out laughing.  He had missed his ride to join his parents at the flea market where they are selling antiques.  He was staying there and had gone outside to get an old paper laying on the front step and got locked out.   He finally was able to get the screen off and go in the window....that's when I saw him and called the police.  He said he saw them coming and grabbed his ID so that he'd be able to explain.  He said if he had seen me on the step he would have waved so I could tell them he was ok.

I said I wouldn't have called if I knew it was him.  He said it was ok that I did.  That mystery is solved

LOL.  I'm glad he had a good laugh about it.  I did thank our neighbor who called the police but never told her the fright they gave me.  Since Keith was at the other end of the house he saw the policeman that had the smarts to go to the front door.

Today seems to be a significant date in the lives of many DRs. Thanks for sharing your memories, good and bad.

I was supposed to attend a concert tonight, but I'm playing hooky.  I'm instead preparing for a solo appearance tomorrow night. I'm serenading a 95 year old woman (whom I do not know) at her family birthday party. She loves music, so they hired me to sing to her. Just me, no piano.   :P

They asked for songs from the 1920s and WW II songs. Oh, and her favorite musicals are "Gypsy" and "1776." I suppose I'll do a medley of "Mama, Look Sharp," building to a climax of "Rose's Turn."   :D

I'm awfully glad this will NOT be appearing on YouTube.

Don't forget to do a medley from OVER HERE.  People of 95 love OVER HERE!  (well, they did back in the 1970's)  :)

I wish it was so we could watch.  I love WWII songs.

If you want the OVER HERE parody lyric, OVER HER (about the Andrews sisters supposed fictitious feud with Janie Sell), that's available for almost nothing - in fact, we pay you for singing it.  :)

Today my sister would have been 69.  It is sad I went from her adoring little sister to being relieved when she was gone.  I like to remember her like this, before the abuse towards me was the norm and she was more often than not a wonderful big sister.

My beautiful sister when she was seventeen.

Does the lady who's 95 like The Beadles?  They do "When I'm 95"

Tune of WHEN I’M SIXTY-FOUR

When I was younger, with not much sense
Many years ago
Someone who was sixty-four seemed very old
That’s the bill of goods I was sold

Now that I’m older, still got my mind
I don’t buy that jive
I feel attractive
And still quite active
Now at ninety-five

This may sound deranged
A hundred’s the new sixty-four
My how age has changed

[dance break]

They come to cheer me
Want to be near me
Now at ninety-five

We watched BATHING BEAUTY this evening.

It was terrible.      :P

No wonder Basil Rathbone wanted out of his MGM contract after that one.

They are having Awesome Biker Nights downtown tonight.  Unfortunately, the bikers seem to want to drive all over town.  I am really tired if hearing them.

:)  I have been errant an truant.   Many personal things going on.  Just stayed of the internet, maybe it's the first couple of weeks of hot weather at work, i don't know.   I have just been a bummer about everything.  Or is the word slacker ?

Mega vibes.

I need to find more time to do all the things i want to do.   Maybe i will try to catch up this weekend if the weather is hot, i'm staying inside.  Which is a good way to get things done.

Mega Saturday vibes.
