Tuesday.

I have indeed been cast as Man in the Chair for the August production of THE DROWSY CHAPERONE....ALL THOSE LINES!!!  So we shall see how it goes.  The other cast members are good, so it should be a lot of fun, anyway.

But first - ANGEL STREET.

I knew they couldn't do the show without you.

TCB, watched some sections of your SCROOGE again - your perfromance remains a thing of beauty.

You are a sweetheart, Fred.

Did I mention it's raining here again? Thunderstorms predicted throughout the night.

And even though it's still light outside, I'm headed off to sleep.  Good night, all!  Eager to hear all about Company in the morning.

I enjoyed this week's MAD MEN episode with the exception of the return of one completely charisma and talent-free actor who happens to be related to the show's creator.

The new Lucille Ball?

Followed by planting a number of flowers and two avocado trees. Hope they do well. The humidity is so high I'm dripping wet.

I hope this morning brings the news that DR Cillaliz is finally rid of the raccoon in the eaves.

Well I guess it's evening but the carpenter and the trapper did arrive at 8:00AM.  It's not easy to fix what the raccoon did. He's going to have to take off the custom made eaves, remove some other stuff.  Fix it and put the other stuff back.  He said a temporary fix was going to be just as much work as a permanent fix, but he said he can fix it on Thursday, so we're leaving it as is until then

I had a real nice dinner with my cousins who were on their way to the baseball game.  I assume the weather had an impact on the rest of their evening, but I hope they stay as dry as possible.

I feel very confident in saying that the raccoons are gone.  Yes plural.  Almost every neighbor I've talked to lately has added another piece to the puzzle.  What I think happened is that the mother and her young ones, maybe 4 of them, came up from the storm sewer looking for a new den.  The kits were a couple months old.  One of my neighbors was walking his dogs and saw the young ones run up one of my trees.  He saw the mother and she was nasty looking enough that he took his dogs and backed off.   The dogs went crazy whenever he came near my house for about 3-4 days.  They are fine around here now.

What I'm thinking is that the mother was looking for a den, and found my house.  The only problem was we trapped one of the young ones and the trapper took it away.  She was around for a couple days looking for it and calling for it  and then finally took her other kits and left.  I think I heard them in the tree the last day they were here.   But, I'm convinced they are gone.

The big concern at the moment is that some other animal doesn't crawl in the hole the raccoon made.  We left the traps until the hole is fixed. I'm thinking by the end of the week we should be in a good place

Last night, I called my brother Randy, whose company is having a hard time staying afloat. He mentioned that his former partner Macbeth was totally unsympathetic, and I told him i was because the Macbeths managed to embezzle as much as they could before retirement. He also told me that if no work comes in for me, I can always relocate and stay with him and Jo. I think that's very kind, but I'm not sure I want to move back to Ohio. Still, after August, I don't know.

Be back later.

So, after the carpenter left, I did a jail visit about an hour away from town, made it back around 1:00, worked all afternoon, came home, mowed the yard, did some grocery shopping and made dinner.   I am sleepy

What a great photo, Ron!!  Oh, are you and your mom in the photo, too?

Elmore, I believe this is the time to really push to sell that piece of property.  Only the Macbeths will be opposed to that now, and you can always have them burned at the stake as witches.

Well, DR Kate, my opinion of The Paris Wife might have been influenced just a little by the fact that I started it on a flight to Paris and finished it on the train from Paris to Nuremberg...

So your judgement was at Nurmenberg.

I don't really know where the day went today.  About the only thing I accomplished was that I took a drive along the waterfront and thru the downtown area of Tacoma.  For so many years the downtown was a wasteland except for drug dealers and strip bars.  Now it is coming alive again.

I was so lazy, I didn't even feel like cooking dinner, so I stopped and bought some of KFC's new boneless chicken.

It was another beautiful day here weather-wise.  It was in the mid-seventies.  They were calling for thunderstorms tonight, but they must be farther north or up in the foothills.
