I cannot believe I posted that William Norris was in DEAREST ENEMY! It was Charles Purcell who played over 1000 performances of the title role of THE CHOCOLATE SOLDIER.William Norris was the star of BABES IN TOYLAND, 1903, at the age of 33, and his last role was Merlin in Rodgers & Hart's A CONNECTICUT YANKEE of 1927.I also forgot Helen Morgan in SWEET ADELINE, the most glorious of Jerome Kern scores!
I knew you'd love it, Jack! It's a pretty good rendition of "Heat Wave", too!

I proofed two sections of the Moross, printed and bound a ROBERTA libretto since I cannot find the one I was using, and printed and taped two corrected Violin parts. I think I'll go home.
Thanks for sharing that software link, DR Jrand62!
There are several films that reduce me to a puddle of tears - three of the key ones are The Best Years of Our Lives, The Miracle Worker, and It's a Wonderful Life - never fails.
And the word of the day is: GOSSAMER!
Tuesday afternoon greetings from my last session at McCormick Place! Finished up the exhibit hall this morning, then had a nice lunch with Richard. He's waiting for me in a lounge area with a view of Lake Michigan and I'm celebrating the 60th anniversary of FAHRENHEIT 451.

Like the new avatar, TCB.
Found this elsewhere...it certainly sums up my weekend in Oakland...and the next couple of days, as well! Gale Storm sings "Heat Wave" Note the shot of Zasu Pitts ("Nugey") and James Fairfax ("Cedric"). This was from an episode of "The Gale Storm Show: Oh, Susannah".
