Off to work, auditions for the summer program and a rehearsal for a wedding next weekend.  Does it ever end?

Everyone have a great day!

I often play the Kritzer Book CD's - they are most entertaining.

I liked BERNADINE a lot....but then again I like Pat Boone....who got a pretty bad rap for covering other artists' songs....but his albums were terrific.

His WHITE CHRISTMAS album on Dot Records is one of my favorite holiday LP's.

DR ELMORE:   Dangerous trek?

Also -- which theme from 1776?

I do not remember now. Something with a harp.

Once again, enjoying the Kritzerland songs in the notes.

Did Bernadine have a sister named Ernestine?

No. It was Philomene.

A handy guide, in case anyone gets them mixed up, as I often do:

The notes were very informative again today.  It is funny, but I think I have learned, at least, one microscopic bit of what you, BK, do so well on your albums and your shows.  I bought a CD a few months ago.  When I listened to it, I enjoyed it, but there was just something wrong about the whole thing.  Then I started thinking, "What would BK have done with this collection?"  Then I realized what was wrong.  It was the song order, and the song selection; that didn't work.  It was just one song, a break, another song, and another break.  There was just no flow to the whole CD.  I had no idea how to fix it, of course, but I did know that it was wrong.  So, I thank you, BK, for sharing one small part of your gift with us.

The things one can learn on the Interwebs!

Apparently, there are 3 easy ways to quickly deodorize your stinky shoes:

Quote
According to Lifestyle Lounge, leaving one or two orange peels in the shoe overnight will do the trick. Shoes My Passion recommends sprinkling a little vanilla onto newspaper. Then, crumple it up and let it sit for 24 hours. Lastly, you can fight the heat with cold, by applying a generous amount of baking soda into the soles. Then, place the shoes into a plastic bag and let them sit for a while in the freezer.

I've accomplished what I needed, and I can go home. I'll finish listening to this CD and head uptown.

From DR Matthew:
Quote
Saw Johnny Mathis tonight with the San Francisco Symphony.  It was delightful.  He was spot on, the orchestra sounded great and there was a LOT of love in that audience.  So glad I got to see this.

I'm glad to read he is still "spot on".

I had a miserable night last night. Really bad headache which is my least favorite ailment to get.  Ever since I was hospitalized once for a bad migraine I get panicked whenever it gets bad. :(

I can understand your fear.

Are you feeling better?

Since I don't drink coffee, and find the Starbucks menu completely baffling, I found this somewhat helpful:

I would like to know what they do with their hot chocolate which I have heard them refer to as mocha.

I'm up after about nine hours of blessed sleep.  As soon as I clear out all the sleep gunk I think I'll be okay for this evening's speaking.

TCB - yes, song sequence is very difficult and it is everything.  Get it wrong and people end up not playing the CD again.  Of course with iTunes all that's changed and people now don't even listen in sequence, which I find appalling actually unless the sequence is bad.

Well, here's to well-conceived/produced live acts and albums and ... and ... everything.

Not to mention...

Most excellent VIBES and XYLOPHONES for another GREAT KRITZERLAND SHOW!

This is the major reason I loathe iTunes. Few of my albums remain in order or together even. You have one song floating over here, three there and rest somewhere you can't find.

Sunday afternoon greetings!  We are back from an uneventful trip to Lima and expecting a visit from Rob and Mary Linda within the hour.  Looking forward to seeing them and hearing about their upcoming move to a new apartment in our county.

I hope you are feeling better this morning, Jennifer, and that your headache away goes and stays away.

Thank you. It was gone when I woke up in the middle of the night.
