There have been three people in my neighborhood who switched to AT & T Uverse and within two weeks switched back to whatever they had before.

The only person I know who likes it is a very annoying customer at the bookstore who is always telling me how great is computer and television service is....but when I ask him about this or that he says...oh well I don't have that, but it doesn't matter.

There have been a couple of times in the past few years when I've suffered an outage wirh Comcast and gotten impatient and SWORN I was going to call AT&T. I even asked a couple of neighbors how they liked it and of course they said they'd never looked back. Well, everyone has different uses and different expectations, and somehow I don't take those as gospel, and I have yet to budge.

DR BK,

So sorry about your recent experience.

The other day, the doorbell rang. I always have the storm door locked. A young girl advised me I needed a new gas supplier and my previous one had expired.

I told her I could not make a decision without my hubby (Who was golfing) She got annoyed and walked away. (Which I found very rude).

I'm not as trusting as I used to be. I guess Wisdom comes with age. Always keep your door locked and don't invite them in. Check with the company by phone before making any decisions.

You should be alright, because you didn't give him your SSN.

We've had U-verse ever since we moved to Austin over 4 years ago, and...for the most part...we're pretty happy with it.

Good morning, all! I slept late, because I can, and I've caught up on the notes, listened to BK's lovely song, and made my bed.

Because I have no work at Toyland, my funds are very very low t the moment. After I take care of my sister-in-law Jo's birthday gift tomorrow, I will be living on luck until Thursday, when my musician's pension lands in my account. So, I'm doing as little s I can till then. Thank God I have plenty of books and DVDs!

Unless you want to count films I enjoyed as a kid, like THE BEAST FROM 20,000 FATHOMS, CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON or THEM!, I don't watch "exploitation films".

I guess I do write them for Roger Corman (e.g. RAPTOR), but that doesn't mean I watch them.

Couldn't get to sleep right away last night, so I finished "Before the Parade Passes By," the Gower Champion biography, which I quite enjoyed. It was fairly detailed about the shows and what Gower brought to them. Made me want to see "Prettybelle," for better or for worse, more than ever. And "Sugar," "The Happy Time" (even though it's been rewritten) and "Rockabye Hamlet."

The ending assessment from the critics was rather depressing. Most refused to place him in the same league with Fosse, Bennett and Prince because of what they determined an old-fashioned style. But why couldn't he have his own style and have that be acknowledged for what it is? More of his shows have had a longer lasting impact on the theater than either Fosse or Bennett. He was merely different from them.
