Are you thinking of moving to Indiana, MBarnum?

Speaking of moving, I have news to share with you all. The DH and I will, like Mary Richards, be moving to the Twin Cities. The DH has been wanting to be closer to his family for some time, and has in the past few weeks received a call to become an organist/Music Director at an Episcopal church in St. Paul, Minnesota. It is all very sudden, and he will be moving permanently next week to begin to gear up for the start of the program year. He will also continue to work his NYC job remotely.

My timeline is more uncertain, as we obviously still have obligations here, and I have no job in Minnesota. But sometime between now and next spring, I will be packing up our apartment and completing our move. It is stressful and hectic, but also an exciting opportunity. I am not looking forward to returning to "job search" mode, but we will deal with one thing at a time.

I wish you all the best.

Yesterday I spent a fraction of the time I've been spending on the computer, dropped a pound I've been struggling to lose

So if I stay off the computer for the rest of the year, I should come out about where I need to be, weight-wise.    :)

LOL If you stay away from munching, which I tend to do when I'm at the computer, and replace motion for sitting at the computer, yes you will. :)

Thanks for that wonderful advice, DR Jane, gleaned from extensive experience.

With luck you will not eat do to stress, as I tend to do, and will lose some of the weight.

Thank you, DRs Jane and Ben! And yes, the marriage thing is certainly a positive. I don't know how I would have felt about moving to a state where I was suddenly un-married.    :)

People used to tell me I should write a book, how to move and stay happily married.  No need to write a book when one sentence will do the trick.  Don't be sensitive when the other person is tired, stressed, and grumpy.  That works both ways. :)

Jane - Do you mean don't be sensitive, don't be insensitive or both?

I think she means, "Don't take it personally."

Good advice, even for place-bound couples...

Looks like dear reader KevinH may want to book a flight to LA - just locked up Brent Barrett for the November Kritzerland show - our first ever encore show - The Sherman Brothers Album.  What a cast we're assembling.

This is very surprising news.  I wish you both the very best.  Moving long distance isn't easy and more difficult when you can't always be together.  I know having done it too many times.

Good luck!

Greetings, BK & DR's All,

Well, I'm all in a DITHER after seeing that you watched BODY DOUBLE last night, BK. I am actually in the film for about 3 seconds, if I recall. I was a day player/glorified extra in the elevator at the Beverly Connection, when the  door opens and we all see the Indian growling at the Wasson and Co. I thought the film was so bad, I only ever watched it once, even though I appeared in it.

Fun song too. I'm grateful never had to do bus and trucks. Touring was exhausting enough. Oy. ; p

I'm thrilled you'll be doing a second anniversary show, but I won't be able to make a matinee. *Pitches Boo*   :D

Back from a patty melt and picking up the package that arrived late yesterday.  Did some banking and other stuff related to upcoming Kritzerland shows.  Now I'll relax for a few minutes then do a jog then maybe write.
