Are you thinking of moving to Indiana, MBarnum?

Speaking of moving, I have news to share with you all. The DH and I will, like Mary Richards, be moving to the Twin Cities. The DH has been wanting to be closer to his family for some time, and has in the past few weeks received a call to become an organist/Music Director at an Episcopal church in St. Paul, Minnesota. It is all very sudden, and he will be moving permanently next week to begin to gear up for the start of the program year. He will also continue to work his NYC job remotely.

My timeline is more uncertain, as we obviously still have obligations here, and I have no job in Minnesota. But sometime between now and next spring, I will be packing up our apartment and completing our move. It is stressful and hectic, but also an exciting opportunity. I am not looking forward to returning to "job search" mode, but we will deal with one thing at a time.

Oh, I love the Twin Cities.  Once you get there I'm sure you'll love it!! Congrats

Thanks, DR John G.

Perhaps your next book can be on hearty delicacies of the Midwest.     :)

Like lefse (which I like) and lutefisk (which I would have to be starving to eat, believe me once is enough).

I like lutefisk if you eat them with enough potatoes and butter.....especially butter

I was just perusing Playbill.com and saw this article (it was on the main page...not too difficult to find ;)):  Tom Skerritt Will Make Broadway Debut in A Time to Kill; Casting Complete.  The article also has pictures of the cast in the Washington, D.C. production right now.

I remember one time I was at SeaTac airport and he walked by me!  He was just walking the opposite direction that I was and it was pretty crowded.  I even turned around to make sure that that was him. :) He lives in the Puget Sound area.

Well, I must be off.  Our rehearsal tonight doesn't start until 8:00, so I didn't have to leave as early as previous days.  But now, I have to leave.  We're going to work most of the second act, which I am somewhat secure on, but I have one line, a sort of tirade, that I do not yet have completely memorized.  I'm sure I won't be the only one who has unmemorized lines like that. ::)

Richard Kiley has a supporting role. Really good performance. And a very old Adolphe Menjou.

DR Elmore, if you think about it (like you have nothing else to think about), you might mention to Jason that your friend TCB will be lunching tomorrow with his friend Sharry O'hare.

Back from the Marilyn and Alan Bergman evening - it was ill attended (about half full) but fun.  But it will be the last time I ever go to any venue run by AMPAS (the motion picture Academy), for reasons I'll explain in the notes.
