I ONLY told Santa that I wanted this doll for Christmas just to see if he was real. I told my parents on Christmas Eve when we were at my grandparents' house in a very small town. Mom got a hold of my uncle in Des Moines. He went out in a mad rush and found it! I did love this doll

Well my mean neighbor David told me in first grade when we were washing out the paint brushes in class, so after that I had my doubts. I pretty much knew already, but was hoping I was wrong. I'm thinking I got Crissy in second grade. The kicker for me was that my grandparents didn't have a fireplace and no one had ever explained to me how Santa got in when there wasn't a chimney

The chimney thing was always a big question for me about Santa. I mean how could he fit? And why did we always have a fire on Christmas eve? were we trying to burn Santa?

My niece told me that when she realized that there was no Santa (I don't know if one of her friends told her, but I don't think any family member told her), she was mad! We all lied to her! She said that she was upset for quite a while after that.
