Good morning, all!

I am going to attempt the walk out of my apartment, across Amsterdam Avenue and there post three pieces of mail. I cannot hide out in this apartment, and I hope I can accomplish it.

DR JRand, thank you for the nice words about my interview with the Punjabi actor. The interview seems to be quite a hit in India, and I now have 3 more Punjabi actors lined up for interviews!

TOD:

Hopefully will get some things done around the apartment. A couple of friends invited me to go to the movies to see THE BUTLER. I am supposed to go see it with a co-worker, so I may not go today. But I will see it at some point.

You are welcome....it was most entertaining and informative.  He certainly didn't hold back in what he thinks the reasons for success or failure are....  And of course the photos are nice, too.

I did make it to the post box and back. It was an ordeal but it had to be done.  When I got down to my ground floor and out the door, I had to sit down on a step to ease the pain.  Then I got across the street and mailed the payments. Standing at the postbox and waiting for the light was intense, so once I got back to my side of the street, I sat down again to let things ease up on my legs.

The worst part was dealing with the sympathetic neighbors; I don't want to stand on two painful legs and explain the situation, then hear their offers of help or suggestions.  I know they mean well, and I do appreciate their concern. Just let me get through the mess and then I can be friendly.

TOD - I have already mowed the yard and have the second load in the washer.  One more and I'll be done with that.  I plan to go around the house and go through the piles of misc stuff I need to sort (junk mail, magazines etc) and then vacuum the house.  I also plan to clean the kitchen and maybe cook or bake something fun.  Haven't decided what yet

Yesterday I went to visit my parents.   After I fixed dad's tv and internet (they got frustrated and had unhooked all the cables..sheesh!)  After that we worked on a jigsaw puzzle, went to a flea market, and  then went out for ice cream.  It was a fun relaxing day.

Our heat wave broke Saturday night.   Saturday day was unbearable, but I went to our annual Artsplash (109 artists, musicians, great food vendors etc).   I had a nice time until I practically had a heat stroke.  Well it wasn't that bad, but it was starting to make me feel ill....that's when I know I have to cool off.
