I then asked about his two darling boys and his troubled marriage and received more info.

He was divorced from Lois and was happily remarried to a beautiful woman he met in Chicago. His last years were good ones! The two sons are successful and great kids!

DR John G.....do you ever get tired of eating BBQ?

I think my doing West Texas first that I have gone through the worst that I'll have to taste, which is the mesquite-smoked meat. Mesquite lingers with you a while after you eat it. Went to Austin today, where oak is used. It's cleaner and I like it a little better. So, I was getting tired of the sameness of mesquite, but the oak sort of woke me up again. And I'm raring to go.

That's great.  I was thinking of that lingering flavor over and over...

At Artsplash I found these cats.  The Calico was basically like this, the middle cat was brown and darker brown striped and the one on the right was gray and white.   The artist offered to custom paint the gray one to look like Boo, so I bought them.   She painted it but it was so humid out that it didn't dry. She put them in a sack and the paint ran all over.   So she told me what paint to buy so I could touch them up and finish them.   Here is the end result.....Callie Ricky and Boo

I love these.

Thanks! I do too

After my flurry of activity this morning, I've had a pretty quiet afternoon.  Found more laundry to do, and the last load is in the dryer.  Other than that, I've been sitting.....that's about it.  Getting hungry and not sure what I want for dinner.....

It's a beautiful day today.  I had the windows opened most of the day.  It got hot inside for a bit so I closed up and put on the air, but thinking I'll turn it back off and open up very soon

Just got great news about our next Kritzerland show - The Story Goes On: The Songs of Maltby and Shire - Sally Mayes is coming in to do it - this has taken four weeks to make happen but I'm thrilled - she, of course, was one of the original stars of the Maltby and Shire revue, Closer than Ever.

That's so cool!  Congrats, BK!

I'm at home doing absolutely nothing.  The problem is that I need to do laundry, and a lot of it.  I'd better get started!  First, I have to take a shower, then I can wash clothes that require warm or hot water. ;)

I've been doing laundry since our company left today.  I'm on the last load.  Without a dishwasher we used every dish towel and that is what I'm doing now.

I never knew exploring for poop in the yard would be so very entertaining for a four year old.  You should have heard Eleanor's excitement when she found the bear scat.

This morning she went to Keith with her "Who Pooped in the Park" book and asked him to take her out again.  This time they went on the road to find coyote poop.   Also needed, along with the book, was the tape measure to check the size of the various findings.

That reminds me, now that Eli is gone I need to sweep up the bat guano from the deck.

Happy Labor Day, all!

I made it to the day off after tech hell, and other dramas.

BK, Congrats on the success of your Anniversary show!! It killed me not to be able to be there, and I am thrilled to hear that everyone rocked both shows.

TOD:  I'd like to lay around like a stalk of brocoli (or so many fish?), but I have some food to buy, laundry to do, and a week of previews to prep for. We open Saturday night.

I hope everyone will have a wondrous day!  :)

Good Luck On Your Opening On Saturday Night

Thank you so much!

When we collect our neighbor's mail we check it all belongs to her and she does the same with ours.

Just returned home from a dinner with Kevin and family.

Had a good time.  Stopped for Hot fudge Sundae at Andersons.  It was Delish!

Back from a three-mile jog, planking and thirty sit-ups.  I just want to stay in and not partay, but in about thirty minutes I'll mosey on over to the partay and probably only stay less than forty-five minutes.
