Just watched "Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day." Glad they're turning it into a musical. Think it could be a great deal of fun.

It's been taking forever for the HHW site to load on my computer.  I know it's not my browser/connection, etc, but it's been taking a long time for pages to load.  Anyone else having this issue?  I hate to say this, but it started when the "new" board kicked in.

By the way,  DR's before we went to dinner I read a few pages of Benjamin Kritzer.  After a few pages I was already laughing out loud.  It isn't often that I laugh out loud at a book.

So far it is hilarious!  Can't wait to read it all!!

It took over 3 minutes to post my last post, and I had to change browsers to see if it posted as my screen did nothing in that time.  Anyone else having this issue???

That took 1 second using Safari.  It might be Firefox.   I'm thinking of switching to Crome anyway.

Sorry for this rant.

We went to dinner at Bravo Cucina Italiana, then to Barnes & Noble.  Earlier this afternoon I took a portion of homemade chili to my Mom.

DR KevinH - thanks for the assist. I think it is lovely that your family was able to gather together to have this milestone celebration.

Trying a new cocktail for the evening. It's called a Dog's Nose and it was created after a drink mentioned in Dickens' Pickwick Papers.

Mix gin, a porter-style beer, a pinch of porcini powder and freshly grated nutmeg.

Glad I'm not driving. It's really strong.

Nice pics, DR Kate!

We should all do this now, post a picture taken with a pet or an instrument, and BK's book.

Thanks for the compliments for me and Sadie. You are quite the gentlemen!  You are one of my favorite DRs
