Some big news from my former employer:Dayton Metro Library Plans to Buy Hauer Music BuildingOf course, they'd probably rather not use the name we peons gave to the parking lot they're buying - The Dead Body Lot.
I could swear there was a spell check feature just a few days ago. I think when you previewed on quick reply you had the option.
I know a number of you have read some of my December missives posted from my mom's computer in Johnston SC over the past years.Among the colorful (at least, to me) people I've named in my posts is my Uncle Rock Bledsoe...a true character. He was born in (or near) Johnston SC some 80 years ago and there he remains.Recently a TV crew from Augusta GA caught up with him at a Strom Thurmond High School (!) football game (this high school is "it" for Edgefield County SC, and Thurmond was born and raised and is the favorite son of Edgefield County). My uncle's cachet for TV news (and they were there covering the game, I believe) is that he has been working the sidelines of the Thurmond football officiating crew for almost 46 years. As he indicates, he started in 1967 when his son (my cousin Butch) was quarterback of the team. WJBF TV New Feature on my Uncle Rock P.S. Any resemblance my uncle has to Frank Sinatra is purely imaginary.
My great grandparents lived in an suburb of Detroit where it was fashionable to have servants. My mother always said that she wanted another house with a "magical" laundry chute; where you dropped your dirty clothes down the chute, and soon thereafter they arrived back in your room: laundered and pressed!
I assume the P.A. to which Sing is referring is a "Prince Albert". That's a term for a certain piercing which is beyond unpleasant, in my humble opinion.
Thank you DRs elmore3003, Jrand62, and Ginny! I am disappointed, but not dispirited. Onward and upward!
No Prince Alberts for me. I remember reading an interview with the lead singer of a rock group called Everclear. He was shocked that so many fans had tattooed the name of his group on their chests, arms, etc. "What if we're a one-hit wonder," he asked (and they were). He also got after them for announcing that they had gotten a Prince Albert. There's nothing cool about having to sit down to urinate for the rest of your life, was his response. He was a lot wiser than you'd expect from a rock star.
I don't see any differences in "options" between "Reply" and "Quick Reply".
