To paraphrase our DR JRand63, there's enough of me on this page.

I'm out on Long Island until sometime on Sunday. The basement looks great. The treadmill is now close enough to the computer that I can turn it on and stream something while I'm walking instead of reading old magazines. That will make the time pass faster.

I didn't realize the basement renovation was for you to enjoy using the treadmill ;)

Congratulations to our 2 authors.

DR Ben, we have 3 authors!

DR elmore3003 - I think DR Ben just meant to congratulate the two HHW authors who announced new books out today.

That was also how I interpreted DR Ben's comments, but then I'm not in excessive pain.

A DITTO here, a DITTO there...

We're all so agreeable today.  Or just DITTO-ey.

I said ditto to my four year old niece the other day. And she said, "what does that mean?"  Afterwards she was saying ditto to everything. :)

My other niece who only missed probably two days of school all of last year has been out for 3 days with the stomach flu.  I felt bad for her today because her class was going to meet an author at the local library (my niece loves reading).

She was pretty good all day but then threw up again at 4pm. :(

I have Damages season 5 on my DVR.

I have a lot on my PVR: last night's Parenthood, Glee and a bunch of other shows that are finally airing here (Covert Affairs, Royal Pains, Rizolli and Isles...).

DR George, Keith said there is a cooler, vs a fan, that sits on top of the chip and the computer is staying nice and cool.

Very good. :)

Yes, that was my intention. No slight intended to anyone, Larry or Bruce or others. It was just a today reference.

Musical-film-on-Blu-ray Alert:

Apparently (although many discussions about this are wary of its being real), a Blu-ray of "Billy Rose's 'Jumbo'" is imminent.  Amazon has it set for an October 8 release.

Presumably, it's a Warner Archives release, but the "next" title announced has been "Sharky's Machine" (for pity's sake), so this title coming out of the blue like this seems a bit unsettling.

I pray it's so as I've pre-ordered it.

What's significant about "Sharky's Machine" (at least, to me) is that The Manhattan Transfer recorded "Route 66" for the soundtrack and it became one of their signature tunes.  I think that I just might need to get this, just for the song. :D

Shame about the lousy timing.  When they give out flu shots will she pass?

Very good. :)

I went to the Falcon (company in Medford that makes Keith's gaming computers) website for a photo of his very small computer.

At some point in the next couple of hours (while I'm still here at work), access to the Internet and e-mail here at work will be cut off.  They have to do some work on the equipment and that will take down any on-line access.  Once that happens, I'll be gone from HHW and will just do some work that doesn't require any Internet work until I leave.  I'll be able to get back on-line when I'm at home.

I'm not looking forward to Keith switching out my computer for his.  He needs to do a ton of yard work but if we get too much rain this weekend I suppose he will work on my computer.  If I disappear you will know why.

I know.  It doesn't even take up much space in his new desk.  That size would work well in my little area but I expect it will be awhile before he needs/gets a new computer.

Congratulations to our 2 authors.

DR Ben, we have 3 authors! I'm adding  our very own BK, whose Kritzerland trilogy is high on my list of favorite books, and whose facility leaves my intentions of writing something in the dust.  One of these days I'll do that BABES IN TOYLAND history and HHW will have 3.5 authors!

BK, I'm not slighting the other books! I think the Benjamin Kritzer books are really special .

You know how much that means to me!
