Well, you've read the notes, the notes whistled a happy tune, and now it is time for you to post until the whistling cows come home.

Oscar Meyer was (and still is I believe) not sold in Canada. Therefore I have never had an Oscar Meyer product even when I moved to the USA. I prefer Boar's Head.

The sun burns your skin fast along the coast.  It might only by in the 80's, but by l0am the sun hurts when the sky is clear.  You are either: young, covered up, or indoors.

I'm indoors alot this year.

Good morning, all! I'm awake, although I slept quite poorly last night and I would love to go back to bed.

I have about 90 minutes to kill before I go to physical therapy, so I'll make the bed and have a little breakfast.

Yesterday DR Jane wrote:

DR Jennifer have you read any of the Harlan Coben books?  He has written 10 books in the Myron Bolitar series.  He has two YA books about Myron's nephew Mickey you might like.  I'm not sure if I would enjoy them as much if I hadn't read the Myron series.

DR Jane I'm not sure why but I have never heard of him before.  They sound like interesting mystery thrillers (I guess sort of like Lisa Gardner books which is probably why you recommended them).

I just checked and my library seems to have all or most of the books. The only problem is that I cannot keep up with all of the books that I already have on my TBR list. Between books I have won, books i have on my kindle, books from netgalley, and new library books in series i have read it is crazy.

But thanks for the recommendation. I think my mom might actually love these books (she likes Lisa Gardner a lot). And she doesn't have the backlog I have. She is always looking for new books.

Regarding whistling: while I admire the skill of it, and am not terribly good at it myself, I more often than not consider it as kind of an aural/musical assault. Not that I would ever say anything about it to the whistler. It just usually strikes me in a negative way - like an unwelcome boom box.

Whiskey nut cake was sliced into last night after soaking three months. It was special. It will slowly be consumed so there is some left for Christmas.

I had no idea I had an orchard.  I am my own orchard.

Reminds me of that Cole Porter lyric in "You've Got That Thing":

You've got what Adam craved when he
With love for Eve was tortured
She only had an apple tree
But you, you've got an orchard

Monday morning greetings!  Drizzly here in SW Ohio - perfect for a little sleep-in.  I have only one thing on my calendar this week - nonprofit leadership class - but have lots to do here at home for AAUW.  First thing today:  a basement walk!

Good Morning All:

TOD:

I think I used to eat the Oscar Mayer bologna.

I haven't had it in years.  Now it would probably turn me off.

AND THE QUOTE OF THE DAY IS:

Gandhi was once asked:
"If you were given the power to remake the world, what would you do first?"

He answered, "I would pray for the power to renounce that power".

God's method in dealing with us is self-surrender.

Give up what is less to achieve the greater.

Julie Andrews is one of my favorite whistlers, as evidenced in Mary Poppins and Camelot.

TOD: Over the weekend, I went to one barbecue joint that had what they called Oklahoma Round Steak: a slab of bologna that had been smoked for 8 hours. Two of us loved it, but we'd eat bologna anyway. I don't know if it were Oscar Mayer or not.
