Well, you've read the notes, the notes had peanut butter innards, and now it is time for you to post until the beloved cows come home.

I think one should always don their blue stockings while eating their beloved chocolate donut with peanut butter innards.

DR Cillaliz - how very frightening. So glad that you, your cats, and your house survived unscathed.

The weather here this week and last (other than yesterday) has been crazy nice. 70s. I was riding my bike this week with a t-shirt on and no jacket. That is crazy weather for October. But I think it's starting to get a bit cooler. It is supposed to rain a lot next week although the temps i saw for Monday were 80s. But I think other than that it will be cooler. I sure was loving the 70s temps.

I started watching HELL ON WHEELS last night.

I picked up the 1st season on DVD  for $10.00 at Half-Price Books in Austin.

Good show; in the realistic style of DEADWOOD.

Saw a community theater production of "Young Frankenstein" last night. It lasted 3 hours. The set, lighting and orchestra amazing. Some very good cast members and good dancers. Direction not strong. And they were all working on a script that's really third rate.

Good very late morning, all.  My goodness, I slept in late.  A rare privilege.  And boy did I need it.

Coffee.  Much coffee.

TOD:

How about songs or albums you didn't get to do, like "Welcome to the Club"? Or shows that need full recordings, such as "Smile"?

Or a concept like Judy Kaye's "Diva by Diva." It doesn't have to be stuff from her album, but assign certain songs to certain players because of their association with a performer, male or female. Sort of a night of stars.

Or "Ethel Merman's Broadway." Songs sung by her but not necessarily presented in ways that you associate with her brassy style.

We're getting rain also. It rained early this morning. It's not raining now but it is cloudy and grey and will probably rain again at some point today and maybe tomorrow.

Good morning, all!  After a lousy sleep tw nights ago, I went back to a sleeping pill and had a lousy night of sleep!  I guess it isn't the meds.

So, the alarm rang at 7:30 but I ignored it and slept until 9:45. I am bathed, dressed, and on my first cuppa coffee.

I have no more news; every day is the same.

DR cillaliz, I'm happy to hear that you and the cats were not blown to Oz last night. Stay safe.

VERY relieved to read BK's reaction to how that HOUSE OF WAX documentary was handled.  I watched it two nights ago and was fairly appalled at the music and at how distracting it was.

DR BK;

You could do a show based on the Benjamin Kritzer character, and his adventures.

You could write songs based on all the unique sayings and journeys Benjamin has.

I think it would be hysterical, heartwarming, and a SMASH!!!

TOD

How about musicals based on novels by Charles Dickens

OLIVER! (Get Shani Wallis to sing some of Nancy's songs)
Oliver & Company (Disney Animated)
The Mystery of Edwin Drood
Copperfield
The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby
Pickwick
A Tale of Two Cities
Great Expectations
Mr. Quilp (aka "The Old Curiosity Shop")

or do a Christmas show of songs from the various musicals based on A Christmas Carol

Scrooge
A Christmas Carol
Comin' Uptown
The Stingiest Man in Town
Mister Magoo's Christmas Carol
The Muppet Christmas Carol

Last night, My friends and I got together and went to The Galleria Mall which is near where I Live.

We shopped, had a few drinks, ate, shopped again, and had lots of laughs.
