Oh, yes, I did eat breakfast with Aman. I had a mushroom omlette with hash browns, toast and coffee.

Aman and his cousin, Davinder, only had coffee as they had already eaten shortly after leaving Seattle.

And Davinder paid for me breakfast, which I didn't realize until I tried to pay my bill. I thought that was awfully nice of him.

I was not feeling good that morning, and look horrid in that picture. But it would be hard to look good next to Aman! He is quite the handsome Punjabi, and very nice, too.

You managed to still look good ;)   You both look handsome.

Nice photo DR MBARNUM.....is that new jewelry on your left arm or is that a skinny watch?

That is some sort of silver braclet thingy I picked up somewhere. I think I may have bought it at the Happy Curry grocery store.

I switched gyms a week back, but it was a mistake. The new gym not to my liking...too small, not enough machinery or selection of weights, and there is the annoyance of having to work around the zumba classes that are held right in the middle of the weight room! And the zumba teacher is the most annoying character I have ever come across...although he has a multitude of middle aged female fans who hang around and chat with him for an hour after...right in the middle of the weight room.

So, back to the YMCA...thankfully, they are letting me re-sign up, without charging me the sign up fee.

That sounds most irritating. Thankfully, the classes here are held in private rooms off from the main workout areas.

That does sound annoying. Pretty ridiculous.

I did find our DR Ryacko singing a beautiful song from Parade on Youtube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWYFcu9kaIM

Sadly, I have no earplugs at my desk today. Will have to listen to it later.

This is great!

Thank you, DR George!

I'm afraid my knowledge of PARADE is limited to having seen it exactly once a couple of years ago.  Watching this YouTube, I really like this song now.  What a beautiful and powerful performance!

Thank you so much! There is some lovely music in the show, but it's a rather intense piece, due to the subject matter. I hope the production you saw was a good one.

My hiking group planned to go to Mt Ashland this morning.  It should be beautiful up there with the autumn colors.  Last night there was snow so we went on a short walk here and then out to coffee/hot chocolate.  I can't believe there was already snow.  This has never happened in October that I can recall.  I needed a real walk when I got home so I went on our road and along the irrigation canal.  I returned to pick up at least 100 acorns.

Sweeping acorns feels a bit like trying to make a put in miniature golf and the ball keeps bouncing out of the hole or you keep missing the hole all together.  Those darn acorns don't always go into the dust pan.  Still I would rather sweep vs the ones I have to bend down to pick up.

Once again the power of haineshisway.com is felt the country over - for the last year I've been posting about my grilled cheese sandwich eating obsession and now we see grilled cheese emporiums popping up.  Coincidence?  You tell me :)

But I think I'm out of cheese.

I do, however, have a Vidalia onion, a nice tomato, a jar of olives w/pimentos, mayo, butter, salt, pepper, and a nice loaf of freshly baked bread that looked good, I forget what it was called.

I'm listening to DEAREST ENEMY.  I just finished listening to THE SONGS OF BRUCE KIMMEL.  I love "When You're Waiting For Love."
